Just Like Moms!

I love this mixer, growing up my mom had both the mixmaster and a kitchen aid, being young my mom let me use the mixmaster because in the 60s they where all heavy but the mixmaster was lighter. I have a kitchen aid also but prefer the mixmaster because it’s easy to use and clean up is a breeze, it can handle any mix job you throw at it and that’s what it’s all about cooking made easier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this in late Dec after spending an inordinate amount of time mixing a cake with my kitchen aid. For every addition, unlock, stop motor, lift head, scrape bowl for multiple increments of multiple ingredients. I kept thinking, this should not be so time consuming and difficult. Enter SUNBEAM! Like the mixers I grew up with, the beaters are offset. This makes each addition of ingredients a snap! Same with scraping the sides and bottom of bowl for thorough mixing. No need to lift the head or stop the motor. Just add and scrape while it continues to mix. WHAT A TIMESAVER! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I actually have time to bake now! Oh, and it's also easier to clean; what a bonus!

No comparison to past Sunbeam products

I purchased this mixer in January 2017 expecting it to compare with past purchases. It doesn't! The bowl doesn't automatically turn, I have to help it along, I have to scrape the sides down continuously for everything to mix well, and the plastic bottom piece that fits the bowl on the stand falls with screws that won't hold their grip. I've been afraid to use this mixer for heavier dough. I'm 66 years old and have only used Sunbeam stand mixers beginning with my mother's "mixmaster" when I was a child.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this mixer for my daughter but the bowl is too lightweight and slides all around the base at all speeds. After using and enjoying a much older version of this mixer, I am very disappointed in this mixer.

Mixing bowl does NOT turn!

Unfortunately, this was given to me as a gift otherwise I would return it. The mixing bowl does NOT turn as is advertised. Therefore the ingredients do NOT get evenly mixed unless you stand there and manually turn the bowl! Ridiculous and very disappointing! Should have waited for the Kitchen Aid.

We bought this mixer to replace the one we have used, and used, and used since my wife received it as a wedding shower gift. We have been married for 45 years and with four children, my wife being a cake, pie, cookie and bread maker, our old mixer had more use than most commercial units. So far the new Heritage model is a repeat performer.
