Great Mixer for Price

The Sunbeam Heritage Stand mixer is wonderful. I have used it to bake a cake and whip up a batch of cookies. The mixer is lite weight and has a great design. So much easier than a hand mixer to make a cake, and mixed the ingredients well. With twelve speeds, even the thick cookie dough was no problem to mix. I would definitely recommend this mixer to friends and family. This product was given to me as a same to review.

Review Sunbeam Mixer

I really liked the appearance of the Sunbeam Mixer. I liked that the mixer is light weight enough to move to my counter where I use it. However it didn’t seem to be as heavy duty as I needed when I was making stiff dough. The machine shut off on me twice while mixing a batch of cookie dough. I also found the dough clung to the edges and I had to scrape the edges of the bowl often in order to get the dough mixed properly I was disappointed that the turntable is not removable for easy cleaning. I like the metal mixing bowl and the way it fit on the machine, but I didn’t like the way the bowl vibrated when I was mixing the dough. After more time with the mixer I find that I understand it better and like it more each time I use it! I received this as a sample for my honest review.

Mixer is OK for price

I like the look of this mixer. It reminds me of my mother's old mixer. I especially like the red color, which gives it a modern touch. The mixer is decent at mixing ingredients when the mixture is more on the liquid side. I found that when you add the dry ingredients and the mixture becomes heavier, the mixer can have a problem. The mixer will spin the bowl on its own; I like that feature. However, when a mixture becomes heavy with flour/dry ingredients, the mixer has trouble keeping the bowl in check on higher speeds. You have to guide/help control the bowl then. I don't particularly like the dial because I have trouble telling exactly which number I'm on. The cleanup of the bowl and blades is easy enough. I don't like that flour went into some of the crevices on the mixer the first time it was used, so that makes it harder to keep the mixer looking nice. Overall, I think the mixer is just OK for the price. Note: I was given this mixer free for review purposes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice stand mixer for the price

This is a beautiful, solid stand mixer that is reasonably priced. The 12 variable settings allow you the options from gently mixing to aerating. I was able to make banana cream pie with fresh whipped cream very easily. The mixer is also powerful enough to make bread dough. The bowl is very large so I did find that I had to shift it over a bit to incorporate the ingredients. The lever also you to move the bowl over while mixing to add ingredients. I only wish it came with more accessories such as a smaller bowl and a whisk.

Not the best but works ok.

This mixer was okay for the price. The speed settings were a little off because the machine tries to calculate the speed necessary due to the product within the bowl. I didn't like this feature. It made the blades spin inconstantly. The bowl needed to be a little bigger than it is so that the contents did not splatter as much when mixing. This product was given to me as a sample to review.

I received this mixer as a reviewer and I absolutely love it!! The bowl adjusts to various positions and the motor is super powerful!! I have used it many times and have no complaints.

I love my Sunbeam Mixmaster! Besides the fabulous RED color it has a lot of power but it is quiet. I like that the bowl turns when the mixer is on. I like that it has 2 bowl positions. It is very easy to scrap the side of the bowl while the mixer is going. It is easy to raise the mixer to place the bowl. It has done a wonderful job from mixing cakes to breads. It comes with one large bowl but you can get a smaller one....I will be ordering one. I expect to get many years of use out of this mixer. I received this mixer as a sample to write a review.

Decent Mixer, Interesting offset

This was a free review unit. I tried making chocolate chip cookies from the toll house recipe, blue raspberry cookies from a box mix, and blueberry muffins from a mix. The chocolate chip cookies dough was far too thick for the mixer to blend properly. The blue raspberry cookies and the muffins mixed properly but did require some scraping of the bowl to include all the dry ingredients. The mixer uses an offset bowl that is supposed to eliminate bowl scraping but the beaters aren't quite close enough to the edge. It comes with both standard beaters and dough hook style. It spins the bowl when using it offset while it mixes, and that feature is pretty nice. It cleans up easily and is pretty easy to use. Just don't use it for anything too thick.
