Clock and delay brew are difficult to set. Clock is NEVER right. Have to change it about every week. Plus, the stupid 3-beep-when-cycle-is-complete feature needs to go. It is totally useless. I have an alarm clock. I don't need to be alerted when coffee is ready. I will NEVER purchase a Mr. Coffee again.

Killed out quick

Purchased this coffee pot for my mother for Christmas and less than 2 years it's leaking water and coffee underneath it. I know they aren't made to last forever, but I would have liked to get more than a year out of it with it working properly. Still brews, just leaves a giant mess. Her love for Me. Coffee isn't so great anymore.

- Make sure the filter is properly in position and that the brew basket is fully closed. - Avoid overfilling the water reservoir. The coffeemaker is equipped with an overflow slot near the top of the water reservoir. If too much water is added it will flow out of this slot and collect near the base of the unit.

Great for cold coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this over a year and it is super meh. The timer turns off the burner after 2 hours and beeps loudly. Hope you don't have a sleeping baby or want hot coffee. I can see a need for these features but do wish they were optional. It was a gift and I am going to donate it to charity and get a new one. Coffee is never hot enough for me when first brewed but that is probably just personal preference, nothing against the machine.

This machine used to be so great

We’ve been using this series of Mr. Coffee for years. We loved them so much that we always had a new unused one waiting for when the old one died, which took a LONG time. So last week that happened and we opened the box & pulled out the new one. Right away it was obvious that the top you flip open to pour the water was cheap and flimsy. I looked at these reviews and I was shocked, but I hoped for the best. But the carafe lid broke on THE SECOND DAY OF USE. Wow, unbelievable. We wasted our money & now have to find a new coffee maker brand because Mr. Coffee apparently decided to cut corners. SUPER disappointed.

Poor design to fill with water

We have used Mr. Coffee for years. This model only leaves about an inch of space (in between the lid and the coffee grind holder) to fill the coffee maker with water. It's challenging not to spill the water when you are making a large pot and need to tip the coffee pot to empty the pot of water into the water holder. There is just no room, and the water always spills, and it's annoying!!
The water filter cartrige just gets placed onto the grinds and is always soaking wet. It never dries out.

Design issue

Bought mine a few months ago and will probably be my last. I’m tired of having to clean up the overflow of coffee and grounds on my countertop and the machine itself. It seems to like to overflow over the basket inside and just soil every where. It has to do with the fact the pot no longer hits the mechanism under the basket enough to have the coffee drip into the pot. I’ve cleaned it and played with it numerous times and still the same result. Even had two other people mess with it because I thought maybe it was me. Nope. Poor product. Want my money back.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry to hear about this. If the brew basket is overflowing, it could be caused by the following: - Are you using soft water and decaf coffee? - When was last time the coffee maker was cleaned? We recommend cleaning after 40 brews of hard water (every three weeks if used 2 times a day) and after 80 brews of soft water (every 6 weeks if used 2 times a day). Please clean with vinegar using the instructions in the manual. - The brew basket may be damaged. Check the piece under the basket to ensure it is intact. - Too many filters may have been used. We recommend using one filter. - Finely ground coffee (all method brew coffee) may be too fine. We recommend using standard ground drip coffee. - Filter basket not properly inserted into unit or has fallen in on the side. To prevent this, dampen the top edge so that the filter sticks to the side, or use a permanent filter. - Decanter away more than 30 seconds (pause and serve)

We bought our coffeemaker about 3 months ago, spending a little more than we wanted to so it would last. I went to make coffee this morning and it beeped as soon as I turned it on, and then did nothing afterwards. Nothing more aggravating than waiting for coffee to find out that nothing is happening. I will buy a cheap coffeemaker today because they seem to last several years. Very disappointed in Mr. Coffee.

We would like to ask you if when was the last time you did run a cleaning cycle into it? If it wasn't cleaned with vinegar solution recently, we recommend having it cleaned.
Additionally, please try to perform the troubleshooting technique below.
Make sure the unit has already been rested for 5-10 minutes before doing this.
1. Plug the unit into the wall outlet then press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. 2. Afterward, unplug the product. Give it 2 minutes before plugging it back in. 3. Plug it in again and hit brew. Make sure there is enough water in the water reservoir.
