Only complaint is the screen protector. Due to the matte finish, it is next to impossible to see the display when outdoors, even when not in direct sunlight.

the case is actually not lavender. The corners and edges are purple and the back is a bluish-grey. It is a very good protector of the phone as long as it doesn't land face down on rocks or some other items that are higher than the edges if the case. Not sure how they would make one to protect for that unless you had to flip open a lid or something. It acts like it will last for a very long time even the little 'hinge covers' for the plug in ports. It might impede the distance of a blue tooth device because of the thickness of the case. It seems to do that on mine. Maybe just something I am doing. Good value though!

I have always had flip phones; this is my first smart phone and I wanted to protect it. Bought a case online but it just didn't fit the phone very well. Liked the reviews for OtterBox, so ordered this one. It fits perfectly and I like the solid feel of it. I think it will provide good protection for my phone. I like the color too.

I bought this otter cover for my moms phone. I was trying to buy her the same one that I have for the same exact phone. When I went to put it together for my mom I realized the cover for this protector was just a film that you place on top of her screen. I'm not sure how this is suppose to protect the screen if she drops it. Also when I went to put it on it had tons of bubbles in the film and I couldnt get a tight seal so after about 30 mins I gave up putting it on. The one I had bought was a complete cover with the front and back snapping together and then a rubber piece going around that so when I do drop mine it doesnt brake. I sure hope my mom doesnt get hers broken when she drops it.

Steel Blue? HA, more like pistachio green. Screen cover is does not apply evenly and adhere well to surface of the phone. Only good thing about my experience was that Otterbox promptly allowed me to return the product, although they did stick me w/shipping charges. Still it was better than a total loss, it could have been.
Cons: Low quality, inaccurate color

The Commuter Series Case for Motorola G is fine but the film protector is cut short. It is defective, the company has sent me three already, and they are identically cut wrong.
If you look online at other review sites, other users have the same problem. So this is not a one-time, accidental problem. This is an internal, ongoing manufacturing problem that Otterbox knows about and has not addressed.

Online blue color was misleading, really a 'girlie blue'. Ordered, then returned it for black. Return experience was pleasant and effective due to attitude of Otterbox customer service.
Black one; really seems like a thoughtful and good design, fits very well. Instructions for adding film over screen were pour. They should explain - I am a newbie - that there are three layers, two of which need to be removed. had to get a teenager to help.
Now the case is a bit bulkier than I had hoped, does not fit/slide comfortably in front pants pocket. Still evaluating what to do about it.
