I love my combo grill, I’ve had a blast and will probably purchase me bigger smoker to go with it! I want to smoke more than 4 rack of ribs!

We have had this grill a year and it is already rusting out on the bottom. It stays on a covered deck. We thought this would be a great compromise. Husband likes charcoal and I like the convenience of gas. We could’ve bought a cheap grill and got more life from it.

Heavy piece of crap

I bought this combo grill thinking it would last me a long time but I was wrong, 3 yrs and it get brought inside the garage in the winter time. First the smoker leaks more smoke than it used. 2nd the inighter quit working the first yr. The 2nd yr all the burner started to rot out and the temp gages stop working. This yr the burners have fallen into the bottom and the inside is rusting so bad bits of rust fall onto the grilling area. And I think the bottom of the grill is rusted through the grease trap has fallen off. The most expensive boat anchor I've ever bought.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent All-Around Grill / Smoker

I have smoked many cuts of meat in the Longhorn Combo, and have had amazing results. From ribs to brisket and everything in between, the heat holds steady (albeit an external thermometer is recommended). Quality of material is second to none, and is very heavy, which is a definite plus! The gas side of this grill saves time and is very convenient to have connected to the same grill, rather than having multiple. Great for cooking in a timely manner. Happy with my purchase and will continue to buy/use Oklahoma Joe's products.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality metal

This grill looks like a winner, but they rust out VERY quickly, not just the grates or the heat tents, THE ENTIRE GRILL - I’ve oiled it, painted it, covered it, next step is to replace it with a DIFFERENT BRAND!

Was expecting better quality for price

I've had the longhorn for a little at 2 years. The first problem was the gas side. The burners for the gas rusted out within the first year. The support for them as well. The seal on the firebox and the smoker side both rust out about a year and half. It falls apart fast. I bought the hondo last night from academy to replace mine. Was hoping to get more then 2 years considering I paid 400+ for it. But it did a good job when it was working right. Also keep it under cover all the time not in use.

Versatile Grill! Love it!

I've owned this combo grill since September of 2016, and I must say it has held up! When I first got it I seasoned it, and have tried to be consistent about keeping it clean (though I don't do a great job of keeping it oiled). I need to replace the charcoal pan on the bottom of the charcoal side, but other than that the grates have held up extremely well - no rust on them at all! My only complaint is that the gas side tends to heat up EXTREMELY fast - you really have to keep an eye on it before the temperature gage says that its too hot. The smoker box works great, and I've loved learning how to build and maintain my fires for smoking. I would HIGHLY recommend this smoker/grill combo to anyone looking for the versatility and convenience of both gas and charcoal grilling.

I bought this grill a few years ago. after 13 months the thing was rusted out on the gas side. Excellent customer service sent me a new box. a year later it was rusted out. they sent me another. and now, a year later same thing. plus the legs, lower part and grates are bad.after the previous two problems I do not expect the company to do another replacement. I will try and keep it alive for one more season and then buy another, different brand. something more adaptable to a coastal area..on the positive. the features meet my cooking needs exactley. unfortunately for the price, it is not worth it.
