Rusting

The cover doesn’t last. We have purchased on each year. We have to replace all the parts in the gas section. Almost everything in it has rusted within 2 years. My husband has to make the parts to hold the burners in place since they have rusted completely off. Not sure why it’s so rusty since we always have it covered. Love the smoker part. We use it all the time.

I bought this 4 yrs ago. For the price it seemed great at first. Now I’m stuck with half a usable grill. The charcoal side has held up well. Slight rust that is to be expected. The gas side is completely useless. The grill slots have rusted off. The gas tube holders have rusted off. Not very durable. I appears they used thinner metal on the gas side. The seals around all the doors have warped as well. I may have to wed in my own brackets now and convert this to full charcoal use. This grill have been kept under the factory cover when. It in use it’s a shame it didn’t last. Definitely my last Oklahoma joe grill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor quality

I have had my smoker/charcoal/gas grill for 5 years. Two of the three burners have fallen apart and the third one is on its way. One of the brackets is falling apart. Don’t waste your money.

Excellent for the cost

I've had this for two years and waited to give a full review do I could do various cooks, and test quality of the grill. So far, with an annual spring power wash and reseason each time, I have very little to complain about. Just a few of the seams have a gap, smoker stack is not actually attached to the chamber, and the lift handle broke just two days ago for our third spring clean when lifting it off my deck to the grass. The firebox had some faded paint underneath from the heat, and the damper door is getting hard to open and close.
Yes, overall it's a 4 star combo. I've made brisket on the smoker side, corn and potatoes on the propane side, and then sautéed veggies on the open burner while heating up beans on top of the fire box and it tasted phenomenal.

bought a year ago and it rusted out in the gas grill we have had to replace all new parts and have had to make new supports for the burners and burner covers.. also have to replace the regulator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought less than a month ago. I love the functionality of the grill. However, I’m concerned about rusting (see pictures). Inside rust showed up after one use, and the door rust jus showed up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doors don’t close - Don’t hold heat

I’d like to rewrite this review, and upgrade to 5 star. But at this time, the doors do not close-seal like advertised. This causes issues holding consistent heat. Brand New. See pics. Lite fire to show the size of gap when doors closed.

I bought this combo about a year ago and have gotten a ridiculous amount of value out of it. Brisket, Burgers, Ribs, Tri-Tip, Lamb Shank, Veal Chops, you name it, and it will handle it. As others have mentioned the only reason I have 4/5 stars for quality is the very flimsy sheet metal on the grill side. You guys built everything else like a tank, why skimp there? I get it saves weight, but an extra 10 pounds is nothing given this thing already weighs 200+ pounds.
I would recommend this to a friend!
