Ready for the scrap yard

What a disappointment! Oklahoma Joe's was considered one of the best grills ever until Charbroil bought them out. I had a Brinkmann smoker for 18 years before this one. The Longhorn was purchased in 2021, the burners have been replaced and all of the brackets supporting the burners and grates are rusted out. I would do your research before purchasing. Charbroil is riding on the Oklahoma Joe's name.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this grill in 2016. I am extremely happy with it. Of course I did replace the drip tray and drip pan this spring. I will b replacing the bottom shelf soon. The only reason I had to is because I didn’t use liners in the drip pan. But after eight years u can’t expect the parts to last with grease getting on them and not being cleaned off like it should b. I
am using liners from now on.

Rust Bucket

This grill is nothing but a rust bucket. Within 1 year the back, bottom and top started to rust. The inside rusted, the grease pan rusted and crumbled into pieces . This grill has a cover on it 100% of the time it’s not in use. The smoker never would heat up enough to smoke anything because the lid doesn’t seal enough to keep the heat in. The temperature gauges stopped working within 6 months. This whole grill is a total disappointment. Don’t buy an Oklahoma Joe grill unless you want a useless pile of rust.

Too expensive quality is poor

My wife bought me this grill for a father's day gift back in 2021. It only took 4 months of use to start rusting out. I find the build quality for the price is very poor. I've kept it under a gazebo the whole time. I have had to replace the gas grills heat tents every year. The part that holds the burners and tents had rusted completely out and so did the part of the part that holds the grates. I have managed to keep the drip try good because I clean it every time. I keep it painted with high temp paint and try to season it as frequently as possible to protect it from rusting. It's usable and does an ok job but you have to work really hard to keep it in working condition. Now I need parts to replace the peaces that hold the burners in place.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend during use to move the unit out of the gazebo 6ft minimum from all walls and 10ft minimum from combustible materials. The unit does not work well under coverings either such as but not limited to, cart ports, gazebos, awnings, etc.

Well worth the money

I'm on either year 3 or 4 with this grill. I've loved every grilling experience. I've only had to so far replace the flame dieflectors, and that was this year, on the gas side. I will also have to replace one of the ignitors soon, however it has lit every time. The charcoal side is awesome, and i love how the smoke rolls in the cooking area and burner box.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had mine for ten years and love it. The best grill/smoker I have ever owned. I keep it covered and never clean it, I just burn off the inside before using. It has lasted longer than any other grill I have owned.

Good grill bad rust

Mine lasted almost 4 years before it completely rusted out on the propane side. Charcoal side was fine surprisingly with all the long nights of smoking I put it through. Wished it lasted longer...
