If I had to buy it again, would I?

I would!! I have had my Longhorn combo for 3 years, and I am extremely happy. I get sufficient use utilizing both sides of this grill. I smoke my briskets and ribs on the smoking side, and when I want to get a quick cook, I use the gas side. I like the overall construction of this grill. Its heavy and solid, the doors don't let out too much air. It's a great grill, you won't be unhappy if you get one!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Old Rusty instead of old trusty

I can’t use the gas side. It is completely rusted out. Burners, tents, holders, etc. all rusted. This grill never got wet. The charcoal side and smoke box is still in good working condition.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’m new to smoking meats or even using charcoal because I like the speed of using propane. I simply was bored and wanted more options. This combo provides versatility. I love being able to do a long smoke and grill hotdogs at the same time without disturbing my smoke. It’s simply great. I keep it covered and seasoned and I have had no issues yet. The thermometer is not accurate but I add a grate level one and I’m good to go. I highly recommend.

I’ve got this gill about 6 months ago it’s been a great grill
I’ve smoked pork, brisket, ribs ,chicken,turkey,ham and it has been great I have even smoked cheese

Worst grill we have ever purchased......

We purchased this grill in March and as much as we want to love it, it's the worst grill we have ever had.... It's so dark when you're grilling you can't really see in the back... It does not cook evenly and sadly, we can't return it. It's also extremely heavy. Disappointed for sure if I'm being completely honest. It's killing me that we spent so much on a grill that we had high hopes for.....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This could be a fabulous grill

I bought this grill a little over 2 years ago. as to the cooking boxes, the arrangement is really great. I have used it many times and gotten good results. However, it has some problems too. The tent plates covering the flames lasted less than a year - I had to replace them, and had to replace the thermometer. Yesterday (out of warranty now) I moved the grill and the wheels fell off. Keep in mind that this grill has been under canopy protection the entire time I've had it. Also, after the first year I completely pressure washed the unit and painted it (as rust had started to form). It is a shame that just a little more effort was not put into the unit to make it a great product. I am overall disappointed in this unit and could not recommend it.

7-8 yrs and still smoking strong

New place...new deck, same ole smoker. Use this thing all weekends long and though the week. Sits uncovered. Done all the kids for smoking and built a air controller for the fire box. This thing is great. Only things not original are flame defusers I had side and bottom charcoal grates in the fire box. Should have cooked on the fire box side, it would be in better shape. Probably got a couple more years before the fir box falls apart.
