Buying another manufacturers smoker grill

Had this grill for 2 years now. I used it once a week. It is covered between uses. So far some of the welds cracked, severe rusting and thermometers that are not accurate. Never again. Will buy a better rated one this year. Poor job guys.

This will be our 3rd summer with our grill. The gas grill is falling apart. The brackets that hold up the burners and the back side of the grates have become so brittle they've just crumbled. The concept of a 3 in 1 with side burner is great because my hubby doesn't care for so much stuff on our deck. I use the charcoal side quite often, I prefer cooking with charcoal anyways but the gas is just so convenient. Since there's really no solution to getting replacement parts for the brackets, we're going to have a friend cut and bend the metal and we'll probably bolt them into place. Or push it off the deck. Haven't decided yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Smoking Experience!!!!!

I purchased this Grill Three years ago.
My wife and I enjoy really using the the Grill Feature. The grill portion is large enough for whatever our needs to Grill food on.
The charcoal grill and Offset Smoker Box is what I really use the most to smoke great Ribs, Brisket, shredded Pork, Chicken wings.
I wish the Charcoal grill portion was a little longer and deeper since I use it to Smoke all my food on it.
The smoker box works great I really enjoy having to setup my own heat by adjusting the vents either by opening up the vents for Heat or closing them for smoke.
It’s “Old School Smoking” at its best. Anyone can use a electric or gas smoker I don’t think you get the same results like you get off of a traditional Smoker.

Like smoker grill combo

I got this about 4 years ago, I functions well. Use the smoker 4-5 times a year and the gas grill 3-4 time a week all year round.
The heat deflectors rusted out last year and I replaced them, now grates are rusting through, the back ledge that holds the grates rusted out, the supports for the heat deflectors rusted out, the back ends of the burners rusted out, the lid and back have surface rust I have scraped and painted a couple times.
Can I get the grates and burners? I will be using some angle iron the fix/reinforce the grate and heat deflector support areas.

Don't do it !!!

I have owned Oklahoma Joe smokers for several years and loved them until I purchased this one .. Garbage - No where near the quality of previous Joe's smokers I have owned .
Rust bucket , doors do not shut fully leaving large gaps , bottom storage try rack flimsy , very uneven heating on the gas grill side . If you turn the first burner on medium the other two will on get hot in the very back . Grates are crap . Fire box thin and flimsy. Side burner support lol what is that don't put a medium.pot on it ..it's going to bend and fall . Igniter system doesn't work. Started rusting by 2nd week . I kept it for only 1 year this month before it went to scrap pile .. Now I am in the market for another grill and sad to say it will not be another Oklahoma..

Not worth the money

Poor quality welds! I've owned this for a year now and the welds are cracking and the rust spots are horrible. The lid on the gas side is warping. The temperature guages work when they want to. Overall horrible craftsmanship! I use the grill everyday and the smoker at least 3 times a week. Not impressed or happy....

Great grill 6+ years

This is an awesome grill. We use it 3 times a week grilling. 2 times a month smoking. All I can say is when/if I wear it out there will be another one take it’s place.

I’ve used this combo for 7ish years without a problem. With some mods & some care (preventative maintenance) I see it lasting 7 more with no problem. FYI, the heat gasket on the external burner holds the charcoal chimney snug & level. Yes this Combo does get covered without fail.
I would recommend this to a friend!
