Looks pretty, but I wanted a strong grill

Pro: strong frame, good wheels, lots of cooking surface. Coal box provides good smoke to smoker chamber. 3 burner gas provides significant heat. Smoked Ribs and gas burgers so far and they came out great.
Cons: sauce burner held by small screws and thin metal. Already popped off once. Temp gauge over grill often jumps to 550+ degrees before getting hot. Read the reviews and can confirm that igniter stopped working after one week outside.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had my Longhorn Combo for about 2yrs. now, I love it! I never had a smoker before and i thought this would be a great buy for the undecided whether gas or charcoal. I was so excited about the grill and smoker that i used the smoker part and charcoal side till about 8 months before even realizing not even trying out the gas side just to make sure it worked. I never smoked before and this has been really easy to use. I recommend this to everyone. Also, I advise to buy the cover for it too, it really helps keeping it looking great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this combo aboit 6 yrs ago and knew nothing about smoking. Grilling on this combo is easy and produces the best flavor from smoking that I've ever had. Ive smoked with all different types of would from smoking chicken wings to pork butts for family BBQ. I use it year round and have no complaints. Totally recommend it to anyone that enjoys BBQ

Had grill 3 months paint came off then began to rust called in and they wanted me to pay shipping for there defective product covered under warranty

Rust rust and more rust.

I've had my grill almost 5 years now. The rust is real. The grates are falling, the burners are falling, the heat displacement tents have withered to nothing. It wouldn't be so bad if I could order replacement support clips for each of those items I just mentioned. The fix is to buy a whole new firebox because those support clips are welded on. It was a beautiful grill and it worked great however, if you purchase this expect to be grill shopping again in 5 years. Look at the photos others have posted. There is a 2 star review by "Victor" that captures my experience almost identical. He put pics. Hopefully they will fix this design flaw. Good luck with your purchase.

Questionable quality

This is a nice grill. I have had it almost 2 years. I leave it out on the covered porch during the summer during the summer and put it in the garge during the winter. The grill cover that came with it dry rotted and tore up in less that 1 year (garbage cover) very disappointed it that. I clean this grill often as to hopefully keep it in nice condition. The 3rd time I cleaned it I noticed the the tabs that are welded inside the gas side of the grill to hold the heat shields above the burners are rusted out and there is no way to replace them. Resulting in the shields always sliding off. Lot of surface rust the the bottom and sides of the grillMight have to make my own brackets and drill the bottom of the grill to mount them. Definitely have to rethink my next grill purchase company.

You can seat the meat and the coke it with charcoal wile doing a side dish....

Long Lasting Quality and Good Smoke

I have used my Longhorn Combo for almost 6 years now. I regularly smoke 34 lbs of Pork Shoulder on the smoking side and we use the Gas side for meals. I have not had issues with rust or grate degradation. With the smoking I do have to babysit the wood to keep it at temp, but that is to be expected on a small smoke box. The thing is a beast and in my option, well built. Only upgrades I would add would be some baffles for smoke box fed area to move the heat away from the hole to the box and a better drip tray/channel for the juices. I have placed a drip tray on the smoking side. The drip channel just wasn't cutting it to the small drip container.
