I bought the Highland reverse flow smoker about a month ago and so far I love it, the only thing that has happened so far is that on the smoker box by the lid the paint has started to peel. I have not contact Ok. Joes yet about the paint I'm sure they would send me some high heat paint to take care of it. Great Smoker!!

Holding up well after four years

Had one drop shipped about four years ago. It was a bit of a bear to put together, but it has held up well so far, no complaints other than I wish it had pneumatic tires.

About to start my 3rd season with this barrel of fun. It took a couple months to figure it out, coming from a cheap crap offset barrel charboil or w/e. Its pretty windproof, this thing (without a cover) survived the 120+mph Derecho that destroyed my part of Iowa, even this winter a gusty night blew my neighbors kamado joe off the patio and broke all the interior ceramics..
One of two issues I meant to address right away was adding the latches and gaskets to make it air tight, but two years later I still havent... if you know what your doing it does a great job holding heat out of box. I use exclusively hardwood lump coal to grill and self sourced split logs for smoking
Second issue that hasnt been resolved yet is its not the friendliest thing to run out and grill a few burgers and a steak. Its 100 for low and slow, maybe a 30 for charring up something quick, I imagine if I ever took the time I could add something to raise the coals, or my plan B is I thing ill just finally buy the OKJoe kettle grill
