Only lasted 3 years. Tub bearing went as well as the control board.

Don’t get if you have uneven floors

Even after having service techs out the washer is unable to a load of even a handful of garments without going on perpetual spin cycle. The foot adjusters do not lock sufficiently nor are the feet large enough to stabilize any floor unevenness.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there - thank you for your feedback about your front-load washer. We apologize for the issues you're experiencing and can understand how frustrating this must be. In order for the washer to work properly, it needs to be level and sitting on a good, solid floor. If the washer is uneven, you can adjust the rubber leveling legs so they are all firmly touching the floor and locked in place. Tub bearing went out after a year and 5 months!

I was very happy with this washer (and dryer) - efficiency, cycle choices, appearance etc, but after 1 year and 5 months the tub bearing failed. It is just over the1 year warranty and apparently will go out completely and will need to be replaced. On this website it says there is a 10 year warranty, but that is only for the motor so that is misleading. It sounds like the bearing issue is a trend. I read reviews before purchasing it too, but I do not recall reading about that issue. It also seemed to retain excessive moisture inside so we had to wipe it down after each load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointing from Start to Finish

We purchased the GE® 4.9 DOE cu. ft. Capacity Front Load ENERGY STAR® Washer with Steam expecting reliability, but within just a few months the motherboard failed — conveniently not covered under the “10-year warranty.” Since then, it’s been one problem after another, costing us time, money, and patience. Now we’re at the point where the entire washer needs replacing. It doesn't spin properly and makes a ton of loud nosies even on lighter loads. There are plenty of features but sometimes just getting back to the basics is enough. You can fit plenty of clothes in there but once it becomes too heavy it fills with water and doesn't drain properly.
For the price, this should have lasted years without major repairs. Instead, it’s been a frustrating, expensive headache. I would strongly recommend looking at other brands that stand behind their products and warranties.

There are multiple variables involved such as frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance, care, and maintenance.
