I purchased this washer 13 months ago. If there is a loss of power, the washer will not operate when power is restored without a technician service call.

No extra spin cycle!

Wish you could just do a “spin only” to wring out extra water on things like bath mats, etc.

warranty is not really a warranty, dead after 4yrs

motor bearing failed after 5 years, but since motor still runs its not a "failed Part" abd still have to pay labor which is the same as buying a new machine which is likely GE intention

I never write reviews. This washer has gone down hill so fast! We have owned it for 2.5 years and it is the loudest washer! It sounds like a plane taking off! It also is now leaking water from the front. Why can’t GE stand up to their product?

Great while under warranty, after that not so much

As stated in the title the machine worked well...while under warrant, but like so many other products nowadays as soon as the warranty ends so does the reliability. With in 2 weeks of the warranty ended a leak developed followed by the pump going out which was promptly replaced. Fast forward 2 months, shocks go out (at least thats what I am assuming due to the shaking). As one would guess all that shaking has now cause another leak. At this point I am just waiting for the main bearing to go which I figure won't be long now. I will replace the shocks but my hopes for the lifetime for this machine aren't very high.

Broke in 2 years

Second GE front loader in 3 years. The bearings went in the first one in less than 1 yr. After purchasing a second GE front loader, the bearings went 3 months after my extended warranty. GE won’t do a thing. Two machines that lasted less than 3 yrs. never waste your money on a GE appliance!!!
