Poor Product Poorly Made

This the 2nd GE Washer of I have purchased since 2012. This last one I purchased 2018 and it has been a headache. I replaced all of my applicances to GE (dishwasher, dryer, microwave and refrigerator based on perceived quality. This washer lasted exactly 3 years. Now the drum is busted. In addition to that when that happen, I had clothing stuck in the washer for 10 days before I could get in opened. I do not recommend GE products especially the washing machines. A washer should last more than 3 years.

As you’re having an issue with the drum, we recommend contacting our Service Department at 1-800-432-2737 or setting up an appointment online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm . A technician would be able to properly diagnose and repair your washer. This washer failed in less than 3yrs of use. It caused water damage to my home. GE did nothing to honor any warranty, or investigate the cause. Stay Away.

No power no lights

Second GE front loader,
first one lasted from 2008 to 2017, 11 years with 2-3 loads everyday day
Second one lasted less than 5 years 9-2017 to 8-2022; 1 load every 2 days
Ran the tub clean cycle, per monthly maintenance, Then next day No power no lights.
Dead expensive washer very Disappointing, half the life and very low usage
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but did not last!

I have had this model for 5 years with good washing results. Usage would normally be around 3 loads per week. And on the 5th year exactly, without any warning sign or strange noise... it just stopped working. No belt... motor is used to rotate the drum. 2 hrs of work, 3 parts to be delivered in a month, and a total cost to which you buy a new appliance. I was so disappointed that I lost my faith in this company. Will my next GE washer last longer??

Parts no longer available

We’ve been informed after a month of back and forth that the parts required to fix our machine that is less than 3 years old and allegedly top of the line is no longer available. This far, no alternatives have been offered.

Waste of money

5 years of light use. An expensive machine; the spin cycle not functioning correctly. It keeps resetting in the final minutes of the spin cycle to repeat endlessly. Also, it sounds like bearings are about to shoot out of the machine at any moment! Very disappointed!!
Otherwise, I will say, it's a pretty ruby-red machine.
