Top is a hazard

The reason for this rating is because the range top is very slippery and could cause severe harm if a pot or pan were to slide off onto the floor. You must design a slide resistant top to prevent slip-edge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ordered because of the need for a replacement range. Works fine. I wish there was enough room between burners to fit a plate, though.

This is a great stove. Very basic easy to use features.

Good and Bad

Not happy that all burners are not the same size as previous range. There is a definite problem with stability of pots/pans on the burner grates as the four corners of the grates are not level with each other so it creates a tipping hazard for hot pans. The broiler is not a true drawer as I had in previous ranges where the drawer pulls out with the broiler pan. This range broiler is like an oven door where you have to bend down and try to maneuver the rack out.. Glad though that I can still purchase a gas range where the oven is not an electric element as in some models with broiler in the oven..
