Been a GE fan for many years - stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves. Got 15 years out of my last GE dishwasher. Never had a problem with the interior features - racks, silverware continers, dispensers - until we purchased this model.
What were you thinking? The uppermost top rack, which is supposed to be used for cleaning large utensils and silverware, is positioned so close to the rack below it that glasses and stemware get hung up on it. And, who in the world wants to waste their time placing individual pieces of silverware in individual slots for cleaning, which is the setup for both that top rack and the silverware containers that go in the bottom rack? Then there is the bottom rack itself. All the plates have to go in one direction and slip and slide around when the rack is moved.
We finally dismantled the tops off the silverware containers so that we could place the dirty pieces in the containers by handfuls, and removed and discarded the uppermost rack. The only positive thing I have to say about the dishwasher is that it is quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poorest constructed dishwasher we have purchased

The ge dishwasher is constructed of cheap, flimsy pull out racks. The "utensil" rack comes in contact with dishes on top rack. It does not provide enough depth for glasses. The rack does not pull out far enough to access dishes to the back . The rack also falls downward, causing dishes to fall forward and breakage of dishes. I would have give "no stars" if this was an option. I have lost confidence in the GE brand .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love having the third rock on the top.

I love the sleek look. Works very well, dishes are clean. The top rack has a massive drawer support so the top rock won't fall down under the weight of coffee cups. Which is what constantly happened with my last dishwasher

Really Enjoy

I wanted a dishwasher so badly and I’m really happy with our choice! It looks really nice in our kitchen, it makes very little noise, was relatively easy to install, the cycles aren’t super long and everything gets clean like it should! It has some really nice features - my favorite of which is the third rack for cooking utensils and such. The only thing that was beneath my expectations was the dry boost function. I feel like there is more water left over after the cycle than there should be when using the dry boost function. However, every dishwasher I’ve ever used has had water left over on certain types of dishes, so I think it’s probably more to do with the types of dishes than the dishwasher itself.

Great Dishwasher and Quiet!

Excellent dishwasher and very quiet. The Dry boost feature assures dishes are dry when the cycle is complete. Bottle jets are a nice feature! This dishwasher can hold so much we had to buy more dishes and glasses!
