Must hand wash silverware every time

We have had this dishwasher for just over 2 years. With every wash, our silverware doesn’t come clean. We pre-rinse everything before it goes in. We’ve tried putting our knives in the top rack (flat), in the top rack (on edge), in the bottom rack (tip down), and in the bottom rack (tip up). Our other silverware doesn’t come clean either. I’m having to hand wash our silverware every single wash cycle. Extremely disappointed. Our old dishwasher that lasted 25 years got our silverware clean.

We do have some tips we're sure will help. Hot water is essential for proper wash and dry performance. The water coming into the dishwasher needs to be a minimum of 120°F and no greater than 150°F. To check the water temperature, run the hot water at the kitchen sink and measure the temperature of the running water with a candy or meat thermometer. If the incoming water temperature is less than 120°, adjust the temperature of your water heater accordingly. We recommend using the Wash Heat Boost option. This will further heat the water in the dishwasher which will improve the overall performance. Cheap build, but what else from GE

Besides the fact that the control board failed and the noise level is not what it was advertised to be, it does clean the dishes.

If so, we recommend disconnecting it from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it. The manual also has information about possible sounds on page 24.

We bought this dishwasher got it installed and it never worked properly from day one!!! The water never has gotten hot to wash the dishes even with turning on the faucet to let the water get hot first and we have the water heater turned up. It doesnt dry the dishes at all and it will just shut off in the middle of a cycle which cant be very energy efficient if it takes 1 1/2 - 3 hrs to wash a load of dishes. Have had someone come "fix" it as they say and it does the exact same thing so I call again and it has been repeatedly the same thing 3-4 times. For the money we paid for it I could have had a great vacation in Hawaii again. DO NOT BUY IT IS JUNK!!! If could give it no stars definitely would

It melts itself

Do you like constantly repositioning wheels and trays? Do you like the smell of melting plastic wafty through your house? If so, this is the machine for you! It washes fine, the three rows are great, but the wheels repeatedly fall off. Multiple times a day and once one starts to fall off, it gets quicker each time. Twice now a wheels fell off while being put into the machine, wasn't noticed, and melted during the cycle! The silver colored frame around the top also catches and breaks. And the buttons, which are easily toggled by ankles and thighs, have mysteriously stopped making noise. Whatever. This machine is frustrating.
