Not built to last
on July 2, 2025

This dishwasher was a massive disappointment. After having it for only 2.5 years, I got the error code FTD, failure to drain, despite the fact that it was draining. Did some research and replaced the pressure sensor. It worked for a day, and then gave the error code H2O, even though it was not having a problem filling with water. I’ve tried to run it over and over and it randomly ends the cycle on me. Message boards online say this is a common issue and the solution is to replace it. What a waste of money! This will be my last GE appliance.

It does not washes well, I leaves food residues on the dishes of top shelf, and does not dry too rack dishes! In the review, adding images is not letting me upload any!

We'd like to help out with getting the most out of the wash and dry cycle on your dishwasher.
An important factor for both the wash and dry cycle is the inlet temperature of the water. You will want to check and make sure that it is reaching 120°F at minimum. This will ensure that the detergent and food residue is completely dissolved.
For optimal wash performance, we recommend using high quality detergents such as Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. You can view additional troubleshooting information in the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38933
For getting the best results during the dry cycle, we recommend using a dedicated rinse aid. This helps prevent spots on glasses and promotes drying by causing water to sheet off of dishware and glassware. Make sure that dishes are not touching. Fancy cookware can also keep dishes from drying properly. We recommend checking out additional troubleshooting for drying here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451

Great dishwasher—quiet, efficient, and does an excellent job cleaning. The racks are spacious and well-designed, and the cycles are versatile. Very satisfied.

Bad engineering and cheap construction parts
on October 19, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwashe is very bad in terms of construction . The too control plate comes off easily , its just been an year the clip holding it is weak plastic , due today to day operation of opeing and closing it put strain on that lomg clip and it will break.
The rollers keeps coming off from the rails and it gets burnt since they fall off in the tub, no matter how many times you replace this problem wont go away
The rotor is cheap plastic with metal at end and not well balanced plus distance between rotor and bottom rack is so low that it will hit it and it metal edges will come off , after that dishwasher is useless since now it will again be off balance . This multiple part addition seems like engineering patch work to use cheap plastic rotator arm and later trying to make it work. Truly bad engineering work
In just one year this dishwasher has has given up on its basic funtionality , truly a engineering shoddy work. Just buy another one . Ge dishwashers are really really bad design

Do yourself a favor and buy another dishwasher

This dishwasher has caused nothing but grief since I purchased it online during Covid. The bottom rack is the worst design, one rack doesn't stay in place and pops off the track and I've lost many dishes due to it collapsing. Here we are 3 years later and it's suddenly leaking large amounts of water. I'm seeing another review where this happened.

We want to help out with the racks and leaking you are noticing. For the racks not staying in place, this can indicate that the unit is not installed leveled to the ground or that the door springs need to be adjusted.
For the leaking, you will want to check around the door gasket/seal for any holes or gaps. You can view additional troubleshooting at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18911
If additional assistance is required, we recommend scheduling service with our Bodewell team. You can do so by calling 1-833-426-3393 or by visiting this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service

Poor quality

Top panel didn't last long along with the upper trim which caused the top panel to go bad. Now that this is discontinued. It makes it difficult to replace parts. Didn't last 3 years. Very sad! Now we need to spend more money.

Doesn't clean well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this product for about a year now and I seem to have to wash dishes 2 or3 times to get food off, or I have to hand wash the dishes before putting them in. Not a good machine.

We want to help and provide some guidance to help with getting a better clean for your dishes. To improve and maximize the performance, we recommend using a rinse agent. Add a high quality rinse agent such as Cascade Platinum Power Dry, or Jet-Dry. You can also find helpful troubleshooting tips in the article at the link below: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38933&_ga=2.267503499.446700509.1688993613-1100713441.1674245189
