Lower rack arms do not hold

Dishwasher does a good job of cleaning, but the lower rack that holds the plates does not secure well at all and any weight on it causes the arms to collapse. Extremely frustrating.

Don't get sticker shock and downgrade

I was excited about the top 3rd rack which was rare at the time. I purchased the extended warranty and good thing as I had at least 8 service visits over 3 years. Finally, the warranty ran out and the machine failed again. Some minor things like the plastic rim on top snapping off, the cheap plastic adjusters on the middle rack kept snapping off, detergent holder snapped and would not close, frequent back flow (and I scrape before loading), electrical board fried twice and had to be replaced. But I have to say, on the few occasions it worked, it really did well
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible dishwasher . Bought a full set of kitchen appliances 2 years ago when I moved into a new home. All have been great except this terrible piece of trash. I will be placing my SIXTH service call in 2 years! At this point I’ve paid enough in repairs to just buy a new one.

Leaking mess of a dishwasher

DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
Probably one of the worst dishwashers we have owned.
Even with the 245 minute wash cycle we are forced to do to get even halfway clean dishes there are always dishes that aren't clean.
Had to start putting detergent in the bottom because it either doesn't open or stays stuck.
The trim started pealing off within a few months.
The screen thing in the drain constantly clogs and makes dirty water backwash and not drain properly.
The arm fell of during a wash cycle
But after all that the worst is leaking!! First it leaked from a cheap rubber hose on the pump...only way to replace it is to buy a whole new pump!! My husband found something that works and then the gasket that holds the pump in failed this meant it would slide out and empty the entire water contents from the dishwasher onto the floor and continue to as it tries to refill, again only way to get the part is to buy a whole new pump, so we permanently attached it. Well, now it leaks out of the door gasket, a cheap little plastic on the bottom of the door, but guess what? No part available, you have to buy a whole new door to replace the gasket!
Poorly designed money trap that doesn't clean and will ruin your floor and cabinets!
Looking at new kitchen appliances now and it won't be GE!

he GE GDP665SYN3FS is a great addition to my kitchen. It’s powerful, quiet, and offers modern features that make dishwashing a breeze. Fire hazard

This dishwasher has broken 4 times in the 4 years I’ve had it. Starting on day 1 with a manufacturing error. Every year someone has to come out to fix it. 3 of the 4 times it was electrical problems. Scary electrical problems. The control board fried to the point it melted wires completely off. There is a burn mark on my floor. Now the wires to the drain pump aren’t working.

Terrible product. One year old and just out of warranty. Sounds like a hammer pounding. Repair man said the problem is in the area below the rotating arm at the bottom. Cheaper to replace than to repair.
