Odor of Heated (or Burning) Plastic When Running

We have used the dishwasher 3 or 4 times per week for the last 3+ months. It cleans the dishes fine but the odor of heated (or burning) plastic when it runs is unacceptable. (We never use the heater for heated dry.) The odor is not as bad as it was 3 months ago but we can still smell it everytime we run the dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The smell of burning plastic can be normal the first couple of uses, this is typically due to the packaging material used. However, if you are still getting this and not using much plastic dishware. This could indicate an issue going on. We definitely would recommend taking advantage of the warranty and scheduling service. Unbelievably effective and quiet dishwasher

Bought this product a few months ago and we have been nothing short of pleasantly surprised and pleased with this product. It is super quiet (unless you have a large pot, then you hear a SLIGHT noise of the water hitting it, which cannot be helped), highly effective getting the worst, dried on stains off and a well designed product. I didn't think I would need the 3rd rack, but let me tell you, we use is ALL THE TIME! Whoever designed the easy access to the clean out water filter is a genius! We have run dog dishes thru, baked on stains, horrible pots and pans and this dishwasher has them so clean you would have never known how dirty they went in. We have an open concept kitchen and I have to look to see if it's really still running - it's very quiet!
I would recommend this to a friend!

great value and excellent performance

our dishwasher died, and as a family with 3 kids, a functioning dishwasher is essential. We replaced it with this unit, and have been impressed by it's performance to date. It cleans well, looks great and is middle of the road quiet. You can hear it running, but it isn't obnoxious. We love the top top rack, the bottle jets are great, and all the wash options have served us well.

We are so pleased with our new dishwasher. We are especially happy with the third rack for large utensils. We used to lay them in with the glasses, taking up space that could have been used for more glasses.

We love this dishwasher. It is so quiet. I love the top rack. We have not had to use to bottle sprayers yet so I cannot comment on how well those work. Installation was easy. Great dishwasher.

Great dishwasher!

Bought specifically for the brand reputation, third rack, stainless interior, and noise level. All of the other options like bottle cleaners, upper/lower washing option, dry boost are just an extra added bonus. So far, it is much more reliable than the year-and-a-half-old Samsung it replaced.
