Hello- Thanks for taking the time to share your review. We can understand how frustrating it is when a new appliance doesn't meet your expectations. We hope that the more you use your dishwasher the more you will come to love it. It does have the amazing 3rd rack that is perfect for your silverware and small items. The upper rack allows you to adjust it if you need more room. The upper rack allows 2” of adjustment up or down to accommodate large items. The upper rack may be lowered by pushing the long flaps on each side of the rack. This will allow you to lower the rack (see fig. Upper Rack). To raise the rack, lift up on the rack until the rack locks in place. Review page 13 in your manual:

This model also have the bottle jets which ensure a deep clean for tall items, narrow glasses, jars and more. In the upper rack, each of the four bottle wash jets direct water and detergent inside to effectively wash hard-to-reach areas.
