I have had service on this dishwasher over and over and over again, with long period in between where it didn't work, because I was so tired of trying to get it to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All of my kitchen appliances are GE products! This dishwasher has the bottle wash and 3rd shelf features I was looking for and the price is good, too!

I haven’t used the dishwasher yet but had to comment on the install. Terrible! Whoever designed this was an idiot! Compared to the one i replaced, the old unit had a nice and easy layout where the GE was all over. The waterline and waste water line are almost on top of each other. The power box was in a terrible place on the front side vs. right in front. GE does not provide a power cord that simply floored me and had to disconnect the one from the removed dishwasher as well as the other parts needed. The rubber trim is a pain to put on and barely stays in place. The mount brackets have breakaway sections which is good but not as thick or stable as the prior unit. The waste line has plenty of length but more plasticy than rubber so hope it holds up. Oh and none of the screws have flat or phillips notch options but all purely wrench/ratchet adding to the terrible design features. This thing better work like a dream after all the hassle to install as this has to be the longest and more difficult ones i have done. I completed the ratings before using so again, being hopeful. The test/clear out run worked well, no leaks and very low noise so hoping for a long use!
