Easy to use, quiet and great features

So far our new dishwasher has been easy to use, gets the job done, is quiet enough for us to watch TV in the next room and has great features that we are still discovering. I especially like the top 3rd shelf for spoons and spatulas!

Super quiet

We needed a very quiet dishwasher due to its placement in our house. This one is super quiet. Push button controls are easy to understand and offer a wide variety of cleaning choices. The stainless steel was not our first choice, but really is high quality and a lovely look in our kitchen. Professional installation took less than 30 minutes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The dishwasher is great. The installation i purchased was terrible..... took them 5 yes 5 attempts to complete the installation.

Super quiet

Love GE. Previous dishwasher was a GE Profile. This model holds almost 2x the amount of dishes. 3rd level great for knives and utensils. Had an old coffee cup that was stained badly put it on second shelf and with first wash it came out spotless. On the normal cycle it takes approx 2hrs (1/2 hr longer than GE Profile) but that's ok because the cleaning is far superior and the machine is soooo quiet you can hardly tell its is running

Note: Longer wash cycles will actually lower the energy consumption. It’s a little counter-intuitive, most people experiencing a long cycle will imagine the power meter spinning out of control. However, the truth is that it’s much more efficient to take less water from the water heater and run the dishwasher longer. The bottom line is that the price of high efficiency is longer wash cycles.

DW Model #GDP665SYN2FS-BEWARE BOTTOM RACK ISSUES

This model GE dishwasher was installed 12/8/2020 as part of a kitchen update project. Before a year had passed, I noticed the bottom rack kept sliding off the guidelines. One day I took the entire bottom rack out and inspected it. Come to find out a few of the rollers had fallen off the roller carriers and had melted down around the heating element! I ordered replacement roller wheels, only to discover the little tabs that held the rollers onto the mechanism had also broke, therefore would not hold the replacement wheels in place. A call to GE ended with my ordering some $112 worth of replacement roller parts for all 4 roller mechanisms. Ended up that I did not need some of the recommended parts, but I did not realize this until the recommended parts were received. Extremely frustrating since I had good feelings about purchasing a GE product. The "hidden" controls take some getting used to but after a while and some research, I was able to figure it out. All that being said, this dishwasher gets my dishes clean for which I am happy. Since I had to figure all this out on my own as I lost my husband during this process, I would not recommend this product for someone that was not familiar with dealing with a situation such as this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unhappy with how long the cycles take to finish

I really don’t like the LONG cycles. Even the one hour wash and light setting adds an additional 35-60 minutes of drying time even on the shortest dry time. Even when I select dry boost the dishes aren’t completely dry. Wish I hadn’t bought this one.
