Lots of Cleaning Options

I have had this dishwasher for about 2 years. This has been a good dishwasher. I like almost everything. I like the third top shelf for large utensils and such. It functions well and has lots of cleaning options like temp boost. I really like that the controls are not visible and can not accidentally be pushed during the cycle. It is quiet enough for us to still hear tv. It has a light that lets you know the dishes are clean.
There are two things that need improved. As much as my LG was a piece of junk, it had a well organized bottom rack. This GE needs to add an extra foldable middle row to make loading easier and more efficient with smaller items like bowls. Also the silverware holder could have slightly smaller holes. I do not like the organizer flap to place one piece of silverware in, I have a large family and we dirty a lot of dishes, so I just put them all in the basket. A lot of the spoon handles will slide through the hole and if you turn them upside down they don't always get as clean.
Other than those two suggestions this is a 4.5 star dishwasher. This would be 5 star otherwise.

First few weeks this dishwasher performed better than expected. It was quiet and dishes always finished clean. Now it’s noisy, detergent doesn’t disperse 50% of the time, and the dishes are not clean. It’s a gamble. Most loads need washed twice.

Broke just after one year

The wash motor and control board went out just after the machine hit a year old so the bottom rack doesn't clean. Very disappointing that it failed just outside of the warranty.

Not Working Yet

Hooked it up and water comes in but doesn't go into cycle. Can't really say how it works or review, because it's not working. three stars due to look and space inside.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
