Great Dishwasher

We bought this dishwasher when the Kenmore Ultra Wash (circa 1991) quit on us. This dishwasher was easy to install ourselves and so far does a great job washing the dishes. A few things we noticed:
- Because this is energy efficient, it takes much longer to run a cycle than the old dishwasher did
- Dishes are not completely dry, even with the dry boost on.
- The dishwasher is SO quiet, but you can hear the water run. A bit disconcerting at first, but hardly noticeable compared to the sound of our old machine.

Best dishwasher I have ever had. Great features, gets dishes sparkling clean no spots and no water left behind and so easy to use, and so pretty to look at.

Love all the features like the 3rd rack, which is perfect for lids and baby items. Also love that the middle rack is adjustable to accommodate large item on it or below on the bottom rack. The dry boost is amazing! The bottle jets get off any and all caked on debris.

It's not like my first on it was quiet and the drawers slide in and out so well this one the bottom doesn't slide out very well always comes off track

Very quiet with excellent cleaning

I am very impressed with this dishwasher. While I was leaning towards a different brand know for its reliability and quietness, I selected this GE dishwasher to match the 2 other new GE appliances in my kitchen followed a hurricane flood event. The adjustability of the interior racks, the 3rd rack for flatware, hidden door handle design and stated DB level were key factors in buying this dishwasher. The top door controls are clear with lots of wash options and the door indicator light is perfect, yellow when in a cleaning cycle and white when cycles are complete. The indicator light is definitely needed as the unit is exceptionally quiet.. I am very pleased with this unit's performance so far (after 3 loads).

Not what I ordered, but amazed by what I got

I was at the store and ordered a dishwasher of a different brand, 2 hours after delivery I finally got ready to install it, and when I opened the box, it was a GE and not the brand I originally ordered. They gave me the wrong unit. After my wife talked me off the ledge for 2 hours, we decided to keep it anyway because we knew GE has good reviews as well.
So after running a clean cycle, I filled it with dishes and selected the cycle that fit best. I used the rinse aid that came Keith it and everything. These dishes came out clean, dry and ready to put directly into the cupboard. The inside of the dishwasher was just as immaculate. It even has this cool slim top shelf for utensils which got just as clean. It wasn’t the dishwasher I ordered, but I love it maybe more than what I asked for. Plus it’s super quiet which is great cuz my living room is right next to the kitchen and I couldn’t hear it from the next room. Plus the stainless steel matches my other appliances, and without the GE logo on the front, it will match any other stainless steel kitchen appliances without your kitchen looking like it have every different brand all over it.
