Great Dishwasher for the money

I just bought this Dishwasher to replace a 4 year old Maytag that I payed the same for as the GE and it wasn't half the Dishwasher this one is. This GE has much better racks. Washes the dishes better, Dries the dishes better. The only thing I noticed is this one is slightly noiser but not too loud. I don't mind the slight difference in noise because it cleans much better. Also the Maytag you had to make sure you got everything of the dishes before washing or it would catch up in the guts of it a start to stink. You then had to take apart the inside bottom to get to the pump intake and clean it out. Nasty. Just what I want is my dish water running through rotting food to was my dishes. This washer has an easy to remove and clean filter easily accessible with just a slight turn and it comes out and you can rinse it in the sink.

Control panel difficult to use - locks up

Difficulty using control panel. Locks up and none of the buttons work. Frustrating, and can’t find help to use it other than being told to push 2 buttons at the same time which also doesn’t work. Had to download and print manual which doesn’t include trouble shooting for this issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello - Congratulations on your new dishwasher! We're glad to see you enjoy the appearance and features of this model. However, we're sorry that the control panel is locking up. We'd love to help you have a better experience.
To lock/unlock the control panel, hold the STEAM button for 3 seconds. The Lock Controls light will turn on to indicate the control is locked and will turn off to indicate the control is unlocked.
If the problem persists, reset (reboot) the dishwasher by turning off power to the unit at the house circuit breaker or fuse box for 30 seconds. Restore power and the dishwasher should reset and function normally.
If the above does not resolve this issue, we recommend taking advantage of the limited one-year warranty and scheduling service so a certified GE Appliances technician can diagnose and repair your unit in no time. You can schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or online here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm.

The additional features on this dishwasher are really what sets it apart from the competitors. The bottle washers and filtered water make me feel better about what I am feeding my children with.

Install was easy since was replacing. Only reason I gave it 4 star it bc they could have supplied the water supply 90 for the price paid for the dishwasher.
