The first one was great, but the second....

I bought this water bottle a year or two ago and loved it! Unfortunately, I lost it, so I decided to replace it with the same model. However, like some of the other reviewers report, the opening (white part) always comes off with the lid! I don't know if they changed something in the manufacturing between the first time I bought it and second, but it is very frustrating, I won't buy this again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The white seal comes off super easily

On one hand, it does keep cold beverages for a long time; I love that. But, in the other hand, it was very disappointing how easy the white seal had come off. Now, I have to be really careful when I use the bottle so I don’t spill my beverage all over. IMHO, it’s a faulty design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ok but lid unscrews

Keeps drinks super cold but when I try to unscrew the lid to take a drink, the entire top comes unscrewed and I have to unscrew the white piece from the lid and screw it back to the bottle. Annoying. Should have the two pieces thread in opposite directions. Would not buy again

Definitely keeps drinks cold

I am super impressed with how cold drinks stay in this bottle. I have ice way past the 18 hrs..My only complaint is how difficult it is to unscrew the top from the plastic drinking spout. Every time I have to fight to not have the spout unscrew with the lid. A super easy fix would have been to have the spout reverse screw on so the cap would seperate easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great bottle but spout design is poor

I’m having the same issue as the above - when I try to unscrew the top, the whole spout comes off, leaving the stainless part exposed. And then trying to unscrew the spout from the lid yields a mess so I just drink from the stainless part. I feel I’ve being tightening the spout as tight as I can. Any tighter and I’ll not be able to unscrew it.

WAS a great bottle, when brand new.

I loved this bottle when I first got it. My favorite part was that the spout did come out so I could put large ice cube in it. But like others have mentioned, there is a definite flaw with said spout. It constantly comes loose when you open from the cap (unless you get it at the exact right angle every time). And, if you tighten the spout down so it doesn't do that, you wear out the gasket & it leaks. Or worse, what I've noticed lately is that it pops open from the spout. It's very frustrating because I loved that it used to keep my drinks cold/hot. I had bought 2 of them before going to Disney World late last May. It was nearly 100°F out, but my water stayed nice & cold. Especially if I threw ice in it in the morning before heading out to the park all day. Have also put hot tea in winter then gone outside & it stayed nice & hot. So I HAD no complaints there. That is until the gasket started wearing out. Now, it keeps my water cool, but not cold. If Contigo fixes this flaw, it's an awesome bottle!

I LOVE THIS THING

I got the matte black version, its gorgeous. It keeps my water so cold and I love the style of the opening. The water doesnt have the "plastic waterbottle" taste obviously because of the stainless steel and it hasn't leaked once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Keeps water cool but broken lid loop

It keeps the water very cool, to the point that ice can last for over 12 hours. BUT, on one of our bottles, the loop that holds the cap to the bottle snapped. This happened after only a few months of use. Definitely makes the bottle less convenient.
I would recommend this to a friend!
