Confusion Regarding Hot Beverages

For those who are confused whether or not you can use with hot beverages, there are TWO different Contigo bottles you can purchase, and look very similar.

One bottle claims to keep drinks cold for 24hrs, and should not be used with hot drinks.
The other keeps drinks cold up to 18 hours (I recall), and hot drinks up to 10 hours. This bottle only says to not use carbonated beverages.

This is a great waterbottle which I have had pleasant experiences with I until about one day after use. It did keep the water which I had in it cold over the night, however, the next morning when I was going to open it the top screwed off the white lip with it. I tried to take the lip off to disconnect it from the twistable part on the top. That doesn't work though because it is slippery so I ended up having to just drink from the stainless steel part. It isn't awful or anything but the lip is more convenient and it really is a design flaw.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far So good - have one question though!

I was given this bottle as a gift for Xmas and love it so far! I do have one question, however. When you unscrew the top, which part are you supposed to actually drink from? when I unscrew it, the white part comes off with it, so I've been drinking out of the bottle. Am I supposed to unscrew the other level and drink out of the white part? Thanks!

Lid keeps coming off?

I was heading out on a trip to a very warm country, and thought this would be amazing to keep water cold. Well, and it is 35c here, it melts the ice within the hour, the drink does stay cold but maybe one 1-2 hours, not 18. That’s not the worst part, the double lid keeps coming off at the stainless, not the spout you’re to drink from. This is SO frustrating... I constantly try to remove just the top lid, which that never works, so I then have to drink from the stainless which, who knows what it’s been touching. I liked the idea of having the main spout covered for this exactly reason. Very disappointed. The double lid is definitely a design flaw... great idea, poor execution.

Love the bottle and would rate it higher if I could purchase a replacement neck somewhere. It keeps the water cool. The rubber from the neck to the cap fits a finger for good grip of the bottle (though the color wears off from that). I have spent too much time looking for a replacement neck without success.

keeps ice water cold for a good twelve hours as long as it's not in a high temperature area,
HOWEVER
has any body actually read the label?

Keeps my water cold for up to 10 hours in the heat. I love that the cap is tethered, it creates a hook you can hang onto it with one finger making it easy to carry. Also fits in car cup holder. I wish it were dishwasher safe but it's worth hand-washing.

Two Lids is a Poor Design Flaw

While this bottle keeps my water cold, every time I unscrew it, both lids come off, leaving an extra wide spout that easily spills.
