I replaced an older model with this new one and love it even more. The design of the lid is better for complete cleaning. I use it for coffee but also add chocolate and milk so thorough cleaning is important. It lives up to the advertising in terms of keeping liquids hot. I'm drinking from mine all day and it is hot to the last drop.

My Family Keeps Swiping It!

My kids got me one of these for my birthday last year and it is the BEST travel mug I've ever had. Since they (and my husband) keep swiping it, they're each getting one for Christmas this year. It keeps the coffee hot enough that 2 hours into a car ride, it's still good. I don't mean tepid, I mean hot. I've never had issues with the lid coming off, nor any smell and it gets used nearly daily.

Love this travel mug!

My daughter gave this to me last year for Christmas after I told her I wanted a travel mug that actually kept my coffee hot. After a year of use I can say that this is absolutely the best travel mug I have ever had. It does exactly what it says it will do keeping hot drinks hot up to 8-9 hrs and cold drinks for even longer. I have only ever cleaned by hand, most times just rinsing with hot water and on occasion using a mild detergent.
I love the convenience if the one handed snap seal. It has never leaked. 100% would and have recommended this people.

Not a fan of this style

I love Contigo products and own many of them. I really like the AutoSeal line. I bought a couple of these because I wanted to try the snapseal. That works fine but what I failed to notice is that the part where you put your lies to sip the drink is different. Now there is a well there that prevents you from placing your mouth entirely over the area that the liquid comes out. So what happens is that the liquid puddles in this well area and hits your upper lip, which burns it. I've tried several ways top drink hot beverages with these units, but no luck. It is not a comfortable drinking experience. Works fine for cold drinks, though. Stick to the lid style that works!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved it at first -

I purchased this mug less than 2 weeks ago. Absolutely loved it. Kept my coffee hot or tea cold. It randomly started leaking. I was on my way to work and when I went to take a drink of coffee, it was leaking all over my hand and running down my arm. I can't drink anything out of it now without the liquid running down the sides every time I pick it up. I have since taken it apart to make sure the rubber seal was still in the lid, which it was. Very disappointing.

I've tried several different brands of travel mugs and this is by far the best. Keeps coffee hot for long periods of time. I haven't tried cold yet but I'm sure it also works well.
