Unbelievably Good

This is the BEST MUG EVER
am in Africa and had to order all the way from the US.it keeps my tea hot & it fits in my bag. I travel & drink alot, so you can imagine what a 0.7l mug can do! however its color is pilling off scratches already at the bottom in just a month. Apart from that, am in LOVE. if only you guys could make food mugs as well. love drinking hot soup. bought one for my husband too, he is not complaining

The BEST!!

This popped up on a search after I had bought a stainless steel thermal container. I bought one, and it was so wonderful not to have to worry about spilling. I'm a big spiller, always knocking my coffee over onto my desk or spilling the water on my bedside table.
Plus I take a cup of coffee or tea to work with me every morning. I frequently take 3 hours to finish it and it is hot right into the afternoon. Also, I take a mug to bed with an iced drink in it. If I don't drink it all, there are frequently still ice in it when I get home from work the next day.
After I bought one and had some experience with it, I bought myself two more, then my mom saw it and she had me get more for her to give as presents. Then I bought 5 more 24 ounce; 2 in black and 3 in blue, iand 2 20 oz, 1 red, 1 green, for myself. Now, if I leave one at the office, or at my moms when I leave for the long drive home, I still have one at home for the next time I need one. I can't leave too many at work without them pushing me out of my cubicle.
My only issue is that I have to remember to "snap" the seal, and I have to make sure I pay attention to whether I threaded it properly. In other words, the only issues I've had were "user error."
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thought my search for the perfect mug had finally ended. When me and my wife originally purchased our Byrons we were super impressed by the size and the fact that it kept all of our drinks either super hot or super cold for multiple hours. I'm still impressed by the ease of use and the fact that I can sip tea/coffee for hours and that it will keep my cool drinks cool.
But after a while...DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
I don't know if it is a quality issue or simply a design flaw. My Contigo hasn't been in a dishwasher and is mostly just rinsed for re-use as both my wife and myself are always using ours. Still, the rubber seal inside of the top has started to leak. Unfortunately, this is the absolute only thing that matters to me when it comes to a travel mug. I'm on the go, and it could be tossed anywhere from my backpack, travel bag or suitcase and its' taken a fail in all of those environments for me to write this review as I really do actually love the mug. I've resorted to having to carry it around in a spill proof bag which kind of defeats the purpose. I do actually love the product, just disappointed in how its holding up. Other design issues include the spout design, as it easily spills when you're drinking, the snap seals simple design is perfect, but I find the snap seal on my Contingo much more difficult to open than my wife's.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keeps it hot and doesn't leak even if you drop it!

The BEST Thermos mug even. Short enough to fit in my coffee maker and keeps the coffee hot the hour drive to work everyday. It NEVER leaks even when I've dropped it with my hands full of other stuff that I'm taking out to my car.
Why the Four stars instead of Five? After about three years of it camping out in my car while I'm inside at work the sun seems to be rotting the rubber grip around it. It is getting sticky and soft. I'll peel it off soon but the mug is so great that I will buy another!

Leaky rubber seal Stormy Weather

I love my mug until it the seal popped out and it started leaking all over my lunch bag. I put the seal back in but it kept leaking.

Hard to drink out of

The Snapseal, when open, makes it hard to drink out of. It hits my nose and the hole is set deep so you have to tilt your head back to get anything out of it. Very uncomfortable to drink out of. I give it a fair rating because it does keep beverages cold/hot, and I like the rubber gripping.

Sleek design the lid leaks

I purchased this mug recently and thought it would be a great replacement for other travel mugs. Most features are great the sleek black design and the fact that it fits in my cars cup holders. One major disappointment is that the seal of the cup seems to leak and I have found myself stained with coffee on more than one occasion.
