Love the design and sleekness. Love the none drip snap. Love the hot beverages stay hot 8+ hours... so great for me who typically sips her coffee and then walks away only to return to luke warm bleck!! I use a straw and it works wonderfully. Used for smoothies and stays cold all day! Just love this. DO NOT WASH in dishwasher!!! I ruined my first one that way. Worth hand washing all day long! :))

This is Contigo's best mug. I use the 16 oz and drinks stay hot/cold for 6 hours. the only complaint is that the snap is very loud. I guess it would be expected since this mug is 100% leak proof.

I have had several of these Travel Mugs. I use the 24 oz all the time. I also have the 20 and 16 oz sizes. I drink only cold drinks in the and LOVE that I can have ice all day. The only downfall that I can say is they don't fit in my car cup holder. So I can't use the Travel Mug very well while driving. So that is why I gave it a 4 star on features.

Use it for coffee. Will keep piping hot for 2 hours-3 hours it is drinkable 4 hours it is cold. The rubber hand grip will trap liquid from washing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's funny to feel so strongly about a coffee mug, but here I am. I have so much trouble finding good-quality travel mugs that AREN'T vacuum-insulated. The "keeps drinks hot for 8 hours" mugs are fine, I suppose, if you prefer to wait until the end of the day to drink your coffee--I, however, enjoy being able to drink it within the hour I brew it, in my car, on the way to work. This vacuum-insulated thing just does NOT work for me.
So on the hunt for a good ol' plastic/foam-walled travel mug... I once found a Contigo mug in a store that was my faithful companion for a year or so before I dropped it for the third or fourth time and it broke. I searched for months for a replacement, but only ended up with cheap mugs that fell apart quickly. So here I am, straight to the source, for the one foam-insulated mug I KNOW is good quality and keeps my coffee at just the right temperature as to be drinkable on my commute. I LOVE this mug.
The snapseal feature is new to me, and I do appreciate not having to worry much about sloshing as I get myself and my toddler out the door. I did have to adjust to the size of the hole, though, as I'm used to a larger outlet for a faster pour into my mouth. Overall, great travel mug for those of us who want to do more than stare at our too-hot coffee, wishing we could drink it...

I absolutely LOVE this mug. I got one for a Christmas stocking stuffer. I can get a hot coffee in the morning on my way to work and it stays hot in this cold Minnesota weather for hours!! I love it so much I have purchased this mug for others in my family who choose cold beverages and it keeps cold with the ice cubes for hours in the summer sun!!

Awesome system, but..

I have used one of these for years and I'm looking for another one. It will keep you liquids cold or hot for over a day.
Here is the issue, you cannot "slurp" up air when drinking the very hot liquid out of this mug. Contigo, if you are reading these, please design a new lid that has a deeper lip, so you can bring in some cool air when drinking very hot black coffee.
