We have a recurring stain on our outdoor lanai carpet. This removes it easily. Tried on our cushions and the rubber nub device was too rough to clean the fabric (Sunbrela) easily. The carpet cleaning fluid that comes with the unit is very good but I am expecting it to be very expensive when we need more.

We bought this cleaner to clean the carpet. We have a toddler and she's constantly running around with food and dropping it all over the carpet in the living room and her bedroom. We had so many stains on our cream colored carpet! I didn't even need to use the pre-treatment sample that was provided in the box. After using a little elbow grease, the stains came out and the carpet looks like new! This is by far a great investment if you have carpet stains that need to be removed. The water in the dirty tank came out so dark and I was grossed out and how dirty our carpet was! I'll be using this tiny gadget to clean other areas in the house as well.

Hi sheplaye, thank you for reviewing the Hoover Spotless Portable Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner. We have some troubleshooting tips we'd like you to try! First, if the cleaner is not dispensing, please check that the clean water solution tank is properly installed securely onto the machine. Next, if the hose nozzle will not spray, there may be air trapped in the pump and hose. Turn on your cleaner and prime the pump by lowering the hose down to the floor and hold the trigger for up to 1 minute. If you are still experiencing issues after following these steps, please call Hoover Customer Care at 800-944-9200. Thanks, Hayley - Hoover Team

Sprayer quit working after one use, was sent a replacement and the very same thing has happened. Just left with wasted time and money and most disappointing, one more thing to add to electrical waste for only one use.

Does a great job, I like how you can open the bottom of the collection tank to clean it out, My old one you could never get it completely clean, The hose flush is a good idea also. Would buy again!!
