Stopped working after just one year of limited use

This product was awesome - it worked great for our chairs and couches. I used it less than once a month and then the plastic hose tore. That was last month. Now it won't turn on at all! I've taken good care of it & am very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the portable cleaner to use for my car. The only comparison I have had was a portable rug doctor and believe me there is no comparison. The Hoover is amazing for spot pet stains, stairs, cars etc. I love that I can clean the hose after. So often we buy something that just doesn't deliver. Well this isn't that product. I am now and will forever be a Hoover buyer.

Love this little machine, just received it yesterday. The only issue I'm having is it is leaking at the bottom below the clean water. Read the instruction guide and have removed the container with the clean water solution and placed it back in a couple of times and it still leaks. If anyone know why I would love to know. O

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Hoover spot cleaner for shampooing auto carpets. Working well. The pre treatment chemicals work well. I especially like the on board hose cleaner. No complaints. Does all I need it to do. For the price I feel it's a great value.

Handy device for carpeted stairs and rug stains

Used the Cleaner to do our carpeted stairs and it did a great job bringing up ground up dirt. Only limitation was that the liquid sprayer is recessed behind the vacuum attachment, so it misses about 2 inches of the rug surface from the vertical riser. Works really week on flat surfaces.

This little machine is powerful and easy to carry from spot to spot. The self cleaning hose is great since you don't realize how much gunk gets caught in there. You see it during the cleaning! I am very happy with this purchase! It is especially handy on stairs which is one of my primary reasons for buying it. My other carpet shampooers are too bulky and heavy for the stair spots.
