[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very quiet disposer and does really grind up the food. The only problem I have with it is the rubber slash guard. It seems to impede the water too much and the water will back up into the sink. I have to push the rubber down a little to get it to drain and hate doing this while the disposer is running.
Pros: Performance, easy to use
Cons: splash guard impedes water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The old InSinkErator rusted out sooner than I thought it should.. This unit is a bit more pricey, but seems much more substantial. I was able to reuse the existing collar so installation was fairly easy. I had to block it up with 2x4s because I couldn't hold it in place with one hand...not that easy to work under the sink. So far has worked great. Of course time will tell how long it lasts.
