I was replacing a 20+ year old 1/2 hourspower KitchenAid model and I was afraid that the increased diameter of the new model would be a problem. As it turned out the demention that I was concerned about was below the red name plate area and it slipped right in with no problem. From start to finish the job took no more than 1/2 hour.

Model:KCDI075B works great so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the KCDI075B because it was very similar to the Kitchen Aid Imperial garbage disposal that we bought like 20 years ago and was about ready for the graveyard. I was impressed with the durability of the Imperial garbage disposal almost everything we buy these days is made to break in 2 years. The only negative thing I encountered so far is that the dimensions of the new KCDI075B disposal are not the same as the Imperial model which I had hoped I could just swap it in without having to redesign all the plumbing. The drain pipe holes are around 1.5" different in the vertical and horizontal.

Main robber shield is defect!

I bought it in October last year. The main robber shield underneath keeps leaking. The water drips inside low mounting ring. It's such defect design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Neede a replacement disposer since the one I had started to sound like a mac truck with no muffler. The installation was a snap. This model is as quiet as one could expect a disposl to be. Geed choice indeed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet and powerful, I bought it to replace a 10 year old loud garbage disposal and I'm happy with it. When installing it just don't tighten too much as the ring on top of the sink seems to bend easily.

I was replacing a 14 year old GE 1/2 hp disposal with this one. I thought that because I was buying a 3/4 hp that it would be noisier but it was actually more quiet. Disposal extremely efficient and quiet. Love It!
