Just the Basics please

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our new stove 3 months ago. The first one came in damaged. Since this was our 3rd stove from a different manufacturer I wouldn't let the delivery guys bring into the house until I check it out thoroughly. Thank goodness, no damage.
I would have rated some of the features differently, however, I'm still learning how to figure out the temperature settings because it's digital.
I don't like digital, not meant for a stove...
Only cell phones, computers, dvr, dvd, ipads should have digital components.
I wish this Stove looked like the G.E. smooth top range that we bought first. Loved, that design, it had modern, sleek, up to date features. However, I disliked the smooth top. I own cast iron and old school Calphalon cookware. Those don't work well on smooth top, plus I don't like a glass stove. It's way Too easy to break the glasstop... I've heard alot of horror stories about that.
I can my own preserves, which you can't do with a glasstop stove. I wish these manufacturers would stick with the basics (gas or coil) simple, easy to fix, No hassles.
With these fanciful stoves you need a tech to fix, and there aren't enough to go around from glasstop owners.
We were without a stove for 3 1/2 months, because all that's out there is gas or glass top. It's ridiculous that you can't get a decent, basic coul stove, without having to wait over a month to get.
P.s. the bottom warmer, which everyone thinks it's for storage is very small and flimsy. I hope this stove last like our old Kenmore stove of 26 yrs. That's how it should be. Made to last. Manufacturers need to put the consumers first. Give them quality, basic, non-digital, sturdy, non-harazard equipment. Something to be proud of, for all.

Very happy with new 4.8 cu. ft. Electric Coil Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the range for about 10 days now, and am very pleased with it. Burners heat up much faster than my previous range (glass top) also cool faster when I turn down the heat. And the electronic controls are very intuitive to use, and they have used colors (blue & red) very effectively to make it clear which elements (if any) are in use or hot. Would recommend this range to anyone who doesn't feel they need all the bells & whistles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove/oven looks great and has worked flawlessly. We have enjoyed using it for complicated meals and for fast items like a frozen pizza. Very accurate oven temps and stove top settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the easy access to the controls up front. Burners heat up quickly. My only so-so comment to date is the muted sound of the timer...with other house noises the timer's signal can be missed. Oven door handle is nice and sturdy, while the lower drawer for pots seems somewhat flimsy.

So glad I found a great updated coil top stove!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this stove. My glass top slide in stove kept cracking so, I went back to a coil top and I am so glad I did. I can cook without the worry of glass cracking. I water bath can, also with this stove. I had to purchase a canning unit to fit in the big burner and I was ready to go. The only drawback is the heating sensors on the coil top stoves can slow cooking down a bit but, you can replace with an element without the sensor. Love this stove!!!!
