Smoothie cup is poor quality and not available

I used the smoothie cup for a few months and food is stuck in the seam around the top. Also is now leaking just below the top along the seam. There is no replacement at Oster or online. I wouldn't buy this model if you are looking for a morning smoothie maker. They break eventually and I now have a blender without a cup. Disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1. Is the sealing ring over the blade?
2. Is the threaded bottom cap on tight enough?
3. Is the jar cracked at the bottom?
4. Is the threaded bottom cap cracked?
5. Is the sealing ring missing?
6. Is the sealing ring cracked, broken or rotting
7. Does the item being blended exceed jar capacity?
If you check all points of the blender jar and the leaking still occurs, Please call us at 1-800-334-0759, we are available Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm Eastern. We will be happy to assist you.

Love it!

I received my product as a Christmas gift! I absolutely LOVE it. Very convenient and easy to clean. If you don’t allow the product to “build up” then you shouldn’t have any issues! I made multiple frozen margaritas and they turned out great EVERYTIME...even when I froze the mixture, the next day I REBLENDED it and it was like a new beverage! I can’t wait to try more recipes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great overall...

This has been a great product EXCEPT for the plastic smoothie cup. It is made poorly and leaks. It also gets food stuck in the crack where the cup is assembled together with the top portion - causing it to rot in there. It cannot be washed out. Cup needs to be made of glass or a solid piece.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fresh ginger!

Just bought this today. I use hunks of fresh ginger in a tonic. This blender pulverizes it nicely and there were no fibrous pieces in the final mixture. Ginger is very hard to process smoothly, but this did the trick, especially with the blade reversing feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great blender, but not a great smoothie cup

I love the blender and smoothies but my cup is having the same problem as others. There is a slight gap where the ring meets the cup and has now accumulated food/bacteria/mold. I have tried many different ways to soak it but nothing works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very versatile and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I make malts with ice cream and Ensure nearly every night for my wife, who is paralyzed. We had an Oster classic but it struggled with the load. Upgraded first to an Oster 900 which did the job but I broke the jar. A VERY helpful customer service rep recommended the 1200. Could not be more pleased. The 1200 has a milkshake setting which pulses the power. I just push the button and sit back and wait a minute. Has no problems handling an entire jar of ice cream and Ensure. We also used the food processor bowl for strawberries this spring. Worked great. Donated our old, bulky food processor to the church and saved some counter space as a bonus.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really does a great job on smoothies and shakes. I love the one button convenience and reliability. Loving the results. Accessories are very reasonably priced and offer great versatility. Four stars only because taking it apart to clean is a bit difficult but easier after learning the trick of heating the blade area first. And, also it’s a little loud on the last cycle for smoothies but count on great results, so a little loudness is tolerable.
