Fuse blew and it's soldered in. Bad design. Throwing it away and buying a Kitchen Aid blender.

Very LOUD

This was sent to me by Oster as a replacement for a blender (different model) that had a strong oily/smoky smell during & after use. After about 2 weeks of use - this blender works fine, initially this also had an oily/smoky smell (on High speed) during & after use, seems to have reduced now but it's still there & not sure if it'll completely go away. It skitters around on the surface when used on the Smoothie or High setting, and, it's VERY LOUD - I have to go to a different room & shut the door until it's done !

Our wonderful house burned - now renting with a much less space in the kitchen so purchased this model. Used the food processor attachment exactly 3 times and the gears stripped so now it's worthless - I am SO not happy! Blender is OK but not great. But then, you get what you pay for, I guess. Perhaps their more expensive model is better, but this has been a great disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I loved this blender.....to death!

Got it when my mum was home in hospice care. One of the aides put the container on the base - without putting the blade, gasket and screw on base. I, not knowing that, poured coffee milk into it. I rescued it fast as I could, and cleaned it up. I would use it out on the deck so the noise wouldn’t wake mum. And then there was a rainstorm. Took it apart, cleaned it up and dried it out. And it worked for a year until, sadly, it died. Is there any way I can replace just the base/motor? I don’t need to replace the other parts. A reconditioned one?
I would recommend this to a friend!

food processor issue

i've only had this item for about 2 years. I hardly use the food processor attachment and when I recently did it makes this loud noise and the blade won't spin. There is no way to trouble shoot or buy replacement. Very disappointing.

Broken twice in a year.

Customer service is great however, the product is less than desired. The first time, oil leaked everywhere on the bottom part of the blender. This time, the blender stopped blending. When it works, it’s great but the durability, ironically, is poor.

i got an Oster blender pro last Christmas. I’ve used it about two times. the last time all the liquid came out of the bottom. The plastic bottom seems to be unseated or not threaded correctly. I’ve not been able to turn the bottom plastic to rethread it. It is stuck firmly. How can I get it to twist off?
