[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Oster 1200 mainly as a food processor and it really works great. I have a special needs sibling that needs to have her food processed and the Oster 1200 has been a great help. I use this appliance at 3 times a day and it works fantastic. I also occasionally use it to make shakes and smoothies and it works very well for those tasks as well. I am very happy with my purchase!!

Powerful motor - great for crushing ice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender food processor has one of the best and powerful motors that I've ever used. It crushes ice beautifully, it purées food to a smooth consistency, it shreds vegetables perfectly. I used it to make protein shakes and I like my ice to be smooth like a milkshake and it had no problem doing that. I also make a lot of purées with cauliflower and other vegetables and it processed it to an even consistency that I really like. I also like the fact that it is a smaller machine but it is so powerful and it fits nicely on my countertop without taking up too much space. The blender pitcher is is large and the perfect size to make protein shakes. The really cool feature is the Smart Settings or preprogrammed settings that make it easy to use. I highly recommend this food processor/blender. Disclaimer: I was given this product to review. Even though I got it for free I would still recommend it to anybody. I would definitely buy this for my family members. These opinions are my own and were not suggested to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor is a great addition to my kitchen needs. I used the food processor to make fresh salsa and it worked perfect for this. Very easy to clean and seems to be very durable as well...even used it to make banana bread. I can't wait to use this product more and more. I see lots of fresh salsa in my future. ***I received this product as a sample to review, however this did not affect my review.

I have been making smoothies everyday but don't see any where to buy more smoothie cups. Also, from day one the lid on the smoothie cups leaks like crazy. I've been wearing green smoothie to work every day...I want to buy extra cups (hopefully some that don't leak). I can't imagine you sell every other part except that one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this blender to replace my 47 year old Oster. The reversing motor makes an easy job of my ice filled protein shakes, daily. The food processor works well and is easy to clean by hand or in the top rack of dishwasher. All and all it's an excellent product. I would like some blend and store jars to fit the wider blade assembly. I haven't seen any in stores or online.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You could pay more but there is no need. This is the best blender I have ever owned. A little noisy, but so am I. Love it.

The Jar Lid Is Too Loose

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had owned two other Oster blenders: Dual Action Blender Brushed Stainless Steel (only sold at Walmart) and Pro-500 Blender (only sold at Costco). Both are discontinued. My opinion is based on a comparison of those three Oster blenders.
Pros:
1. It has a much stronger power and much bigger jar base. I only need to run the pre-programmed smoothie two or three times to make my morning smoothie. In contrast, I need to run 6 or 7 times for other two models. And the result is not as fine as what is out of this model.
2. The jar is much easier to be mounted on its motor base.
Cons:
1. It can be difficult to take off the jar bottom with both hands due to its size. If that occurs, I need to place the jar on the base and turn the jar anticlockwise to remove the bottom.
2. The black plastic finish base looks cheap.
3. This model blender has an almost double power of the other two models. The jar lip design, however, isn't changed accordingly. The jar lip is way too loose. It has been pushed off the jar a few times while I am using the blender to make soy milk in the smoothie setting. That can be a safety issue other than making the place very messy. The motor base seems to be sealed well for now and there isn't any short-circuit even the base is very wet. To prevent the lip pushed off, I have to place one hand on top of the lip while running the blender.
It could be a quite good blender for a reasonable price. A few of engineering problems make it a not-so-good blender. I am wondering why American manufactories can't make a blender with an outstanding engineering like Aimores' blenders.
