This blender & food processor combo can do it all!

There's no reason to spend hundreds on a Vita-mix, when this machine will do the job for much less. Having used this blender to make multiple breakfast smoothies and milkshakes, I can say without a doubt that this machine is powerful, durable, and does an amazing job. It pulverizes ice and liquifies vegetables with ease and leaves no clumps of pulp. This machine handled everything I've thrown at it and I'm thoroughly impressed. As for the food processor attachment, I'm equally impressed. I've chopped raw carrots, cucumbers, and squash. All of the slices comes out perfectly cut. Flip the blade over and you can grate cheese and vegetables as well. This machine does it all and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a blender and food processor.

I really like the compact design, ease of removing parts to clean, powerful motor, and the multi-function pre-set buttons for smoothies and milkshakes. A great addition to my kitchen. I did receive this product as a sample to review.

A Surprise in Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender and food processor combo was far more than I expected for a double duty appliance. It performed as well as the high end blenders, and as well as a stand alone processor. I found the smaller bowl on the processor much more convenient for our small family but not so small as to limit usefulness. It blended graham crackers as smooth as the boxed pre-crushed graham crackers in the market, shredded cheese efficiently and more. The blender container is quite large. Good for blending larger quantities but too large to easily blend a single serving. It turned ice into powder perfect for sno cones! When selecting specific processing buttons the machine automatically varied speed to blend like the commercial machines.
My one complaint is you must remember there is one part on the processor that cannot be immersed when cleaning. A nice feature is the cap on the lid of the blender jar can be used to easily loosen the blade assembly.

The blade is of good quality, able to handle tough items with great ease. Aesthetically, it's pleasing on the eyes and feels modern. The features are self explanatory with multiple speed and pulse settings. It's a great item all around to have and use.

Quality Time-Saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor deserved a five-star rating. The processor was well-designed for easy set-up. The plastic jars were fully interchangeable. The instructions were easy to follow. I made a large batch of homemade salsa in just a few minutes. The button for chopping pulsated three times with each push. Therefore, I controlled the size of the chopped vegetables. The vegetables were chopped finely within seconds. I added garlic, more tomatoes, and herbs through the cover opening. Extra ingredients dropped into the jar by using the food pusher. Vegetables were sliced and shredded quickly by using the disk blade. I used some of the vegetables for snacks while using a variety of vegetables for soup. The large jar blended fruit and leafy vegetables into a fresh breakfast drink. The time saved was invaluable. Even better, cleanup was a breeze. The jar sections separated in order to wash and rinse for the next recipe. I chose to wash by hand, but the jar could be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher. Even though I received this product for the purpose of reviewing, I was pleased with the power, speed, quality of parts, and ease-of-use.

I Absolutely Love This Food Processor!

I love its ability to quickly switch between food processor and blender configuration. It's both space saving and powerful too. As an arthritis sufferer had no problem at all cleaning up. Disclaimer: I received this product as a sample to review. I love it so much I'll be buying it for holiday gifts!

Fantastic Blender AND Food Processor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I really love the Oster Pro 1200 Plus Blender and food processor. Not only does it look good and feel sturdy, but it’s definitely powerful! I used it to make smoothies and it crushed the ice and blended the frozen fruit with no problem at all. I’ve also used it to make a batch of Potato Leek soup. The food processor attachment made it very easy to prepare the ingredients (I sliced six potatoes in seconds!) , and the large blender jar let me puree the whole batch once I had cooked the vegetables for a while. It really simplified the process. There is just so much potential here. I’m planning on making Salsa next - it’s fresh tomato season and the timing is just perfect. It works as well as a food processor that costs three times as much! At this point I have no complaints and recommend this item wholeheartedly!
