Powerful Blender

I was super excited when I received the Oster Pro 1200! The packaging was visually appealing and I could not wait to try it out! I loved the overall design. It included a to-go cup for those days when you make less and want to take something portable. I make many smoothie recipes and I loved the fact that this blender had more settings than other blenders that I have seen. It was very powerful and I would highly recommend it. I received the Oster Pro 1200 free as a sample product, however, these opinions are honest and they are my own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fails at green smoothies

Used for the first time yesterday, and while it made by normal fruit smoothie perfectly, it completely failed at blending frozen kale properly. WAY too many particles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic product

I have tried the Oster Pro 1200 as a processor and as a blender. both options work fantastic. the food processor has many settings to chop and pulse food and beverages at different sizes. I have made salsa, sauces, and pureed food for a small child. I have also used it to make spreads out of fresh herbs.
the blender portion works just as well. I have made smoothies and blended sauces. Each can out smooth and at a perfect consistency. I would recommend this product to anyone.
it is great for its price and it very multi useful.

Good Blender

Just recently bought this blender so my comments are first impression doing few different jobs.
1. Specially does a good job of cutting greens which tend to have lot of fibers. The ability to reverse blade helps with chopping these fibers down without getting stuck.
2. Does a fairly good job of grinding dry beans and seeds. I have not yet tried making them very fine.
3. One area of improvement - the base is very wide and therefore it is difficult for some one with small hands to get a good grip for opening the jar. A small tool with a handle which latches on to the base will make this part easier.

I really enjoy this blender. The style is nice and it feels much more expensive then it is. I like that I can use the small cup to blend and store a smoothie and don't have to worry about getting the big blender piece dirty. It feels durable and I give it a 5 stars out of 5. I'm looking forward to using it many more times in the near future. *I was given this Oster blender as a sample to test and review*

My favorite countertop appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine performs just as well, if not better than, big name trendy blenders. It fits well under my kitchen cabinets and looks nice on the counter. It crushes ice perfectly and makes great smoothies. I like the reversing blade feature, it really helps to keep food moving without having to stop the blender. The glass container is solid and durable and cleans up easily. The motor can be a little loud, but typical for a high powered blender. I expect to get many years of use out of this machine and would recommend to friends. I received this item as a sample in exchange for writing a review.

Great Kitchen Addition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Oster Pro 1200 is a great addition to my kitchen. It has been used to create shakes, smoothies, fresh salsa, chop veggies for soups and that was within the last week. Both attachments are very easy to clean up, and the sharp blades get the job done quickly. I love the look and styling of the product, it fits right in with my kitchen. I am looking forward to using this product more and more with the different meals that are prepared throughout the week. As I have seen in other reviews, the motor is a louder but that was not any reason to rate it any lower. I plan to use this unit for years in my kitchen. Note: Product was received as a sample to review.
