Great Blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put a towel under the blender, took care of the vibration. This blender with the variable speed beats my Nutri Bullet, love it.

I used it 2 months and the main shaft striped and I can't find anyone to sell me the replacement part.

Pretty good, not ideal for frozen drinks

The good: Looks nice on the counter, very powerful motor, did a pretty good job of blending up my morning smoothie of OJ, banana, & frozen fruit even though it blasts it all over the bottom of the lid. Unfortunately it is painfully loud and it actually HEATS whatever it is blending. Great for soup, but not for smoothies which I thought this blender was specifically designed. Also be aware the cord is only about 2 ft long and the manual specifically states to not use any extension cord.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Blades Snapped Off In Shake

I bought the Pro 1200 in 2017 - blades snapped during blending. Only realized when blade was in my mouth. May 2021, 2nd Pro 1200 blender, blades snapped in two and broke off. Only realized when they were in my mouth. I have used no frills, single purpose Oster blenders every day at my office for nearly 3 decades. I have always loved Oster Blenders. Blade never broke in the THOUSANDS of times I used your no frills blenders. Something with this model. I found same photo posted by another user.

I mean, the smoothie . . . I never had such a good one. I used to make smoothies years ago for weight loss and meal substitution but got out of it. Now that the pounds are back, I decided to get serious about nutrition. This blender will make it easy to keep up a good habit. The smoothie was velvety, creamy, only had 1 little shard of ice. I blended 1 cup ice with about half a cup of coffee, added vanilla protein and glutamine powders, some extract, cocoa and half a frozen banana. Totally smooth. I started on low for a few pulses then switched to the smoothie function. I am beyond ecstatic with the results. Thank you, Oster. I was going to buy a throwaway blender to use until it breaks which usually runs about six months for me historically. With this powerful of a motor that I never had before, I see this as a keeper. I think you will, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product worked OK, but it is not of the same quality as a Ninja and definitely not a vitamin replacement. Pros - cheaper than a vitamin. Works ok for what it is. Cons - my biggest disappointment is that unlike my Ninja system, blade assembly unscrews from the pitcher. This makes it have a potential to make a big mess and is a real pain to clean.

The Oster 1200 plus food processor is an amazing machine. I went into this assuming it was just another blender and food processor but what I got was a powerful commercial kitchen grade appliance. The blender itself was powerful enough to make a delicious strawberry banana smoothie in minutes and the capacity was enough to make smoothies for the whole family. The food processor allowed me to make fresh salsa for a dinner party with the ease of pushing some buttons. I also was able to make some humus for the party too. The machine is fantastic. I can't wait to see what else I can make with it. I received this product for free in return for a review but I would still have paid for it!!

A solid blender

i was given this blender to try. Overall I would give it a solid 3 1/2 stars. It's a solid heavy blender with a powerful blender that feels like it's should last. I like the overall look of it and it looks great on my counter. The buttons allow for a bunch of blending options which I really like. It comes with a separate personal smoothie container which is awesome. This takes the place of having to also own a smaller personal blender. I have found that personal sized blenders don't last and have minimal motor power so I see this as a huge plus. For me this will get half as much use as the normal sized blender. The bigger blender container is made of glass which is great. I really don't like plastic containers. They are impossible to keep clean and unscratched and overall end up looking old and dirty after minimal use. The fact that this is a heavy glass container is great and I am confident it will last.
The downside is it can't deliver a grit free blend. This might not be important to some but for me it is. I have small children, 2 of which will refuse to drink anything with anything but a smooth texture. When I make my family smoothies it's so I can hide veggies in it they won't normally eat. This still leaves some grittiness and that makes this a 3 1/2 stars for me.
I suppose I shouldn't expect perfection since at this price point I think it's a great solid buy. But for me I was left disappointed and I resized I will need to purchase a very expensive blender to suit my needs. I think that most anyone without picky eaters will love this.
