Best Blender Ever!

This this my 2nd Oster 1200 with BNG. 1st one lasted 8 years and, probably, would have gone on forever had the base not been involved in a flood. Once dried out…the Base actually still works!!! But figure to keep it for back up and enjoy the brand new one. Does absolutely everything I ask of it and more. Thank You Oster for an excellent product!

Great blender, great company to work with if you need anything! Our blender is probably at least 5 years old and can do anything! The only problem we had was the lid of the food processor broke, plastic to weak. So I had to buy a separate food processor but still have my wonderful blender! Waiting for a good sale to get my daughter one! Only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the lid of the food processor!

I actually really like this unit, like, a lot. We use it a ton as it conveniently acts as both blender and food processor. Sadly the food processor portion has not held up to normal use though with the center shaft a bit wonky and now the cover plastic broke at one of the secure points.
If there is a replacement available for the food processor assembly, I'd be down to keep using this beast, please let me know if that's possible. I couldn't find one easily with your usual partners and can't find a simple parts list to search for it specifically.

I received this product as a sample to review. Good points: it is small and can be left sitting in the counter. I do this because I use it evey morning to make ice coffee. It can crush ice, make smoothies, and salsa. It easy to screw the blade attachment on and off. The buttons are easy to read and it had quite a few bleeding speeds and functions. The bad: it's hard to put the cup and pitcher down into the base. You have to line it up just right and snap it down. The base is wonky. It doesn't feel sturdy and it rattle about if you don't keep a firm presses down hand on it.
Tl:dr, looks great, blends nicely, but needs a more sturdy base.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would recommend this Oster Pro 1200 to all my friends and family. I love to make smoothies and have been searching for a blender that would make a smoothie at the right consistency and this one definitely does the job! I love how the blades turn different directions which is why I think it chops things up better then other blenders I have.The only thing that I didn't like was that when the blender is going real fast it will move and if you aren't careful where you out the blender or if it's close to something it may fall off counter or can knock something off. I would recommend a sturdier base. I received this product as a sample review to try.

I need a manual and care instructions

I love this product but I am having an issue of cleaning a food processor. Does anyone know how to remove the food processor base from the jar? They both were attached when they were shipped so I have no idea how to remove it from the plastic jar. It shows the locking position, but I tried to rotate to the other direction, but nothing moves. I need to clean after every use. Help me!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this blender. It is easy to use. It is easy to clean. I love how liquefy smoothies and potatoes broccoli soup. It is strong and steady. I made almond butter and it came out great. I can make 4 smoothies at a time. It is great for frozen fruits also. The only thing I don't like is that the travel cup that came with this item leaks when you are drinking. Making a mess on your long sleeve shirt, if you are wearing one, and all over you if you don't notice on time. Other than that it is perfect. This is the blender I bought: Oster Pro 1200 Plus Blend-N-Go Smoothie Cup - Brushed Nickel - Glass Jar. I think the item number is: BLSTMB-CBG-000. I hope this helps. I strongly recommend it.

I purchased ths blender 4 months ago and overall very happy with blender and food processor. But there is a flaw in the design of smoothie jar and hence 3 stars . Near the top of the jar , where the lid fits, there is a very thin- almost hairline thin gap from inside. After first use I noticed the food residues were stuck in this gap and its impossible to clean it. I even tried scrubbing it with a needle. But no luck. I will not be able to use this jar anymore as its not hygienic even after first use.
