This machine will boil just water, if desired. It will also keep the water hot after the initial boil, so you can make a second bow of hot cereal or beverage. This machine also will brew hot tea perfectly. Just choose the setting for your type of loose leaf tea and the machine will brew to perfection!

I am impressed with the quality of the unit and the tea it makes. However, I did have a problem with the tea carafe. the floor is stainless and it started discoloring from the first time I used the unit. Mr Coffee service department was great and sent a new pot out to me.

I bought this as a gift to myself and am so glad I did. My husband thought it was going to be another kitchen gadget that would just sit around. It is not! I use it everyday. I enjoy a hot cup of tea at night, then use it as iced tea to take to work in the morning. It is as simple as putting water in it and press a button. When it beeps, add the tea. Beeps again and it's done! It is terrific!

I have had this unit for about two months and use it at least once a day. I predominantly use it as a kettle as I mostly drink coffee, but I also use it once a week to brew black tea for my ice tea. It is clean and classy looking.
