Solid Product

This is the fifth year that I've used the product, and I am satisfied with it. It makes completing a Trust return (1041) and preparing the applicable K-1s very easy. I know the software provides returns for multiple entity types but it's expensive. I wish they would sell the trust version only at a lower price point.
What's great about it: Easy guide, quick to use

All State Form 1041 Need to be Available

I used TT Business to file an initial Form 1041. It would be helpful to have the trust return available in the personal edition so I wouldn't have to buy 2 separate products. It would also be nice if you would provide the Indiana State IT-41 online rather than having to do it on the paper form. Another site had it available online!
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Hard to find accurate answers to my questions.

TurboTax keeps getting easier to use

I have been using TurboTax for decades and find it is a great help to understanding and filing federal and state taxes. The help menus are helpful (!). I also have found the people at the company are able to correct any deficient mailings (missing disks) or other problems with one call - again, very efficient.
What's great about it: System rolls previous year's data into current year - very efficient
What's not so great: Does not have some state's files that I need

State Business Eval Charges Up front

Convient simple step through the fillin process.
When I go to the state tax section I had to down load it and run it to find out I did not need to use it.
What's great about it: Step by step through the paperwork
What's not so great: Have to download state only to find out I did not have to file

once again, TT Business will not import from QBO.

way to go, intuit. push people to use QBO, then when they do, make it impossible to import their data into turbotax without the circlejerk of buying quickbooks desktop, exporting from QBO, importing to QBD, exporting from QBD, then importing to TT business, THEN GETTING A REFUND FOR QBD.
this is insanity. seriously, just... fix it.
What's not so great: no import from QBO.

Not as easy as the cloud based personal turbo tax

Overall it was okay. It's taxes after all. However, I will say that my experiences doing my own personal taxes on the cloudbased software for "individuals" is much easier to use than the more cumbersome software install version for businesses. It's more expensive yet requires printed, scanned, and reuploaded forms instead of online signing. Just very un-2017. I'll probably pay to get my taxes done next year for our business but since we are only a few months in TurboTax was good enough for year 1.
What's great about it: it got the job done
What's not so great: saving directly to a hard drive has issues

I would have liked to have done the entire TurboTax on line, however, it was never clear when, and how much, I would pay. I would have like to have known that up front vs. do the return and then pay. It may be OK for some, but I like to know everything before I begin. Therefore, I used a CD
