Had some trouble getting the income information input because it wasn't very clear what box I should use to input the income since I did not have any associated forms.
What's great about it: found the help prompts very useful in understanding how to fill out the data
What's not so great: initial trouble figuring out how to input my trust income

I couldn't get our taxes completed without the guidance of the program. Thanks for helping tax season run a little smoother for us.
What's great about it: fairly easy to use and understand
What's not so great: not too many - would help if user had more knowledge of tax reform but the program helps tremendously

Need TT Business in Mac version
on April 12, 2017
Posted by: Beachtiger
I have to hang onto my old PC specifically to do my S-Corp and LLC Business Taxes every year because Intuit Turbo Tax Business does not have a Mac compatible version. Once April 15th passes, I shut down my PC and toss it in a closet until the next February when its time to do taxes again. It's extremely aggravating.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: There is no TT Business in a Mac version

...You get what you pay for...

I had five returns to prepare this year, including one S-Corp. Purchased the "Green Block" software, for which very little guidance is provided for the user. After hours of struggling, I bit the bullet, got online and bought TurboTax for S-Corporations. TurboTax is much, much easier to input, provides alternative choices, and explanations for the sometimes complex business input. I pre-ordered for next year so I won't forget that... TurboTax is the only way to go!!!
What's great about it: User friendly...provides alternatives...
What's not so great: ...kind of expensive...

Good program. Very similar to standard turbotax. Recommend changing the auto calc of beneficiary percentages. When inputing data the program can modify this percentage and if not careful cause problems. Also prompt user earlier for the percentage breakdown.
What's great about it: Easy user prompts and flexible interface.
What's not so great: Automatic calculation of beneficiary percentage.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Self employed but Taxbo Tax puts all the information before you. Plus during the course of the years you are mindful of tax significant items in preparation for the following year.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and instructions provided
What's not so great: Still have to do taxes

Still missing auto-import, no prompt for State
on April 12, 2017

I still find it strange that Intuit does not include the auto-download of 1099 info in their Business edition as in their other TurboTax products. The Business edition is the only version that handles Trusts and creates the necessary K-1 forms, yet we still need to enter 1099-DIVs for the Trust by hand. Also, this year's version skipped State filing altogether after selecting eFile... no prompt was provided and the program stated that we were done. For those who haven't filed with TurboTax before, you could have easily presumed that State filing was completed as well. Luckily, we doubled checked and went back and selected to print paperwork for filing and were then finally prompted to submit paperwork for our State filing. Pretty sloppy. It also seems crazy that this edition costs so much more, yet does much less; at least for those filing paperwork for Trusts.
What's great about it: better than fillin-out paper by hand
What's not so great: Still lacking compared to other TurboTax editions
