Making Taxes Easier

This helped me a lot to do my taxes but when I wanted to print my K-1 it said it wasn't ready but wouldn't tell me how to add the information, it turns out it couldn't be done until all of my taxes were completed.
What's great about it: Fast and Easy
What's not so great: Hard to go back when there is an error

Turbotax makes it simple to do your own taxes

When you have a simple -small business and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg to have taxes done for you, this is a great learning tool and easy instructions allow you to file your own taxes for small/simple companies.

Bad 4K laptop/monitor support

Does Intuit actually test on Hi Res 4k monitors/laptops ?
When I ordered the State download from inside the app, I could not see the fields to enter my name, address, credit card information.
The rest of the app worked OK with a high res 4K laptop.
QuickBooks 2017 is even worse!
Put a 4K monitor on Intuit CEO's desk.

Turbo Tax Trust

A few oddities and bugs here and there
Tax payment schedule on one screen had 2016 as opposed to 2017
Fields that were supposedly overridden were had to distinguish (e.g., should have said that they were in blue) and I could not find that they were in fact even overriden

2016 Business

I've been using Turbo Tax for both business and personal returns since it became available. I've been very satisfied with the performance until using 2016 Business. It didn't track step by step easily as in the past and it would skip areas that I would have to go back and locate to use. Will be using 2016 Home and Business in a few days. Will also write a review on it.
What's not so great: 2016 software quality not up to past years

Finished My Refund Right!

TurboTax greatly helped me fly through my taxes and wrap my head around what was going on. This was my first year filing my taxes with my business S Corp and it was pretty simple to get through. Given I didn't have many assets it wasn't too complicated but it was still quick!
What's great about it: Quick and easy to find explanations of things!
What's not so great: Taxes still stink and software somewhat expensive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Product - if you can find it

I went to shop for products and the only options displayed were premier, deluxe, and home & business. I knew I needed business because this is the fourth year using this product for filing trust returns. Lo and behold, not the right product. I searched repeatedly on the website for trust return filing and got off topic answers in the question forum. Finally found it at the bottom under a list of CD/Downloadable products (referenced as TurboTax Business for Corps). I then had to call to get a refund on the first product, which took about 20 minutes. Positive is that I finished one of the trust returns while on hold because the product is that easy to use once you download the correct product. I still can't e-file because I don't know what the special name control is (never heard of it and it isn't on prior returns). So, I will print out and mail off, which seems slightly odd in 2017.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
What's not so great: Impossible to find on Turbotax website

Unless I'm wrong last years' deadline for the LLC was April 15th...this year I didn't notice the due date of March 15th until I was entering all my gathered data on April 2nd!! Since you send me emails all the time it would have been nice to know of the change!
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions and transfer of last years records!
What's not so great: Still costs as much for someone who has never used Turbotax as it does for me who's been a loyal customer for years!
