Turbo Tax shortcomings

Can't import from quickbooks online and can't get the software to use on my Mac. Very, very dissapointing

Balance

Not as hard as you might think

This software is GREAT, its not as hard as you might think!!!!
I formed a single owner LLC filing as an S Corp. in 2016 and this was my first year doing the taxes.
I do my personal taxes with Turbo Tax and I can do them in a few hours. The business taxes took about 2 days but I also had to input my business information in Quickbooks before I could start the taxes.
I had a few problems getting the accounts into the proper reporting structure in QuickBooks so they would port into TurboTax correctly but that was the biggest issue.
I would definitely recommend this software to anyone with a small business.
All in all it was a good weekend.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, I was able to walk through all the needed forms without too much trouble.
What's not so great: I could have used more information for the Chart of Accounts setup.

way easy

My wife did our taxes last year and struggled through them, I did them this year in just a few hours with the help of turbo tax and last years taxes to help me along
What's great about it: simple didnt take too long
What's not so great: couldnt upload last years taxes

TT business for LLC's

and on farm rental income doesn't have step to get to form8825 have to find and open myself. from forms. also on the depre schedule since I had a bunch of all depred out equip I lumped into one item I wasn't able to take it out when I sold a piece. my bad but it would be nice to have it flexible

easy to use and cost is a lot less than any tax people I have used

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
