What's great about it: Easy to do, like that it brings over the previous year's information. It makes taxes easy.

Problematic

I would like to be certain that once I answer a question or make a selection that it will not change unless I specifically go back and change it. I find that I have to continually review the print preview. This is time-consuming and very unsettling that my responses can change. I do not understand the logic in this at all. I don't have confidence in the results.
What's great about it: It asks questions that will lead to tax treatment
What's not so great: My responses don't remain. Have to go through and answer same information. Very unsure about results.

Clunky and Occaisonally Difficult

For starters, why am I required to download it instead of being able to do it online? And why is it Windows only?
Overall, just not as smooth or easy as I would have liked. Lots of terms that I was unsure of, and the "explain this" option was often unhelpful for a layman such as myself (or occasionally not even available, to my frustration).
In particular the Balance Sheet section was very unintuitive. I had to call the support line to understand the numbers it was giving me, and if it was okay to proceed with a discrepancy between my books and my return. I thought the point of the program was to walk me through it without needing someone else to explain.
I think if Intuit tested this product with (layman) users in the room, they would get all the feedback they need to make this easier to understand and use.
What's great about it: Cheaper than a CPA and certainly easier than doing it on paper
What's not so great: Just not as smooth an experience as I would've liked

Explains sections in detail. So it is easy.
What's great about it: Takes data from Quickbooks Pro 2015
What's not so great: Confused on sale of real estate but I eventually figured it out
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax makes it easy to understand the revenue and expenses that the IRS requires a small business to file. I want to pay my taxes - no more and no less.
What's great about it: Easy to Use and Understand

Better than an Accountant

Over-all a great product. Asks the right questions but does not explain well enough on some topics. Kind of a pain when the help topics turn the questions away from TT and over to a forum or lay person who likely knows no more than myself on that given topic.
What's great about it: Fairly simple for those who have done their own taxes
What's not so great: Can get caught-up in repetitive loops

Why DId THe Vehicle Information From Prior Year No
on March 12, 2017

Not sure if this was a bug or by design to not carry forward vehicle information from prior year
What's great about it: I use TurboTax for it's ease-of-use
What's not so great: Huge hassle to have to re-enter vehicle information not carried over from prior year
