download killed the tax start

Once again turbotax spent time downloading updates with no details of what was involved. If there are forms and program updates an overview would be helpful. When the more information link jumps to the general answer board that is not helpful at all.
What's great about it: import of previous years information
What's not so great: update as I'm attempting to efile, requiring a restart of the process

The program would not properly prepare the K-1 forms to separate the rental real estate income from the oil royalties which the beneficiaries need to separate on their personal returns.

Great except for Section 179 deductions

Love the software but would love it more if it offered to auto-fill my Office Equipment assets into my Section 179 deductions; it's a pain to hand-enter every single line item with the date and the dollar amount (this is already in QuickBooks!), along with all of the other info needed.

I've been using Turbox for years now, mostly for my business taxes. Really helps to save time and not nearly as expensive as having someone do your (business especially) taxes.

Love the Corporate tax program. Sometimes you just need to keep going and your question will be answered.
What's great about it: Easy to switch between forms and detail input screens
What's not so great: High price for one page State filing

Acceptable but not awesome

Every year I use TurboTax and every year I feel like there are many items where there is not enough detailed instructions or help to be totally confident it is done right. This is the surest sign that the tax code is completely out of control.
What's great about it: Inexpensive compared to a CPA.
What's not so great: Not enough detailed instructions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
